Not sure this is the right forum for this question..... I travel a bit and tend to run EVE on my work laptop. It is a Dell D820, 2G cpu, 4G ram, 512M Quadro Video, under XP. Been seriously thinking of picking up a Dell XPS M1730 to use as a traveling work/game machine. If the D820 can handle EVE I am pretty sure the M1730 can too. However, all the M1730 I have seen come with either Vista64 or Windows7. I search around but can not find anything specific to how EVE plays under a 64 bit OS. Love to hear from people with experiences either with EVE on a M1730 or EVE on Vista64 or Windows7 (64 bit version). Thanks Rem ---

Simple reason for that, it plays just fine on a 64 bit OS. No news is good news in this case.

Plays the same as it does on a 32bit OS, won't make any difference at all to EVE as EVE is a 32bit application and runs under emulation on x64 :) Rally Against Evil Site |

I'm on a HP 8710p mobile workstation 4gb ram and a NVIDIA Quadro NVS 320M video chip with 256mb dedicated video memory. I'm also running Windows 7 x64. Eve runs great with all video setting maxed out at max resolution, with 2 clients running at the same time.
I don't think you'll have any problems. ;)

It doesn't run it under "emulation", it's a little bit more complicated than that.
However, the long and the short of it is that it works perfectly - I've been using Vista 64bit and Windows 7 64bit for a few years now and everything is fine :)

Got a 10 fps boost when switching from XP32 to W764. Works perfectly (and I don't even have 4GB of memory). ---
