Well it all depends on where you taking it, if you going for low sec using the infinite point insta lock hic you'd be looking at a Dual MAR setup with a cap booster, you'll be able to tank the gate guns no problem and most other things If you're taking it into null sec well you'll need to put a dual 1600mm buffer tank on it which will give you a nice amount of EHP so that you'll be able to survive within your armour tanked gang. The phobos and devoter normally travel with armour RR gangs so that they will survive. The two shield tanked one are more for they have their own tank anyway through recharge so they a more stand alone dictors.

Complex eh? :D Poster above me obviously doesnt fly in armour rr gangs. Phobos has one less low than the devoter and is pretty tight on fitting but if your in a 0.0 rr gang then 2 1600s and trimarks start things off. rest of lows is resists, try and get all of them at least above 80%, will give decent ehp so you can keep your bubble up longer. Mids, MWD is key, then whatever is left over. I have 2 webs and a SeBo just in case we get smaller faster stuff the BS cant get hold of fast. This is Phobos' weakness, 4 mids is entirely un-needed in this ship. Highs is Warp bubble, then most 0.0s gangs have a cyno for hotdrops and a cloak for sneaking around, then a few small guns cos you definitely wont get any medium hybrids on there.

Posted - 2009.12.12 13:23:00 - [7] The bubble is more to stop ships initially warping off and gives time for everything to get tackle on whatever they are fighting. After that if the HIC is taking a lot of the incoming DPS the bubble can go off and it can be RR'd.

It has half a role as a low sec - behind the lines civilian ganker but even there it is somewhat clumsy and there are better choices... Believe me I tried cause I liked the idea of a blaster boat with enough mids but it doesnt work well...

For low sec, I'm all about the Phobos. You can get MWD, cap booster, 2x sensor boosters on it, as well as enough tank to survive the gate guns and instalock just about anything. Great ship. In small gangs, onyx and broadswords are preferred because they are much more self sufficient and have good regen and EHP, whereas phobos/redeemers pretty much depend upon remote tanking to keep them alive, which aren't really small gang friendly. I love my phobos personally. I think it looks sexy. And if people * at you for bringing 'the wrong dictor' they can go ** themselves. A HIC is better than no HIC and if they wanted a broadsword they should have damn well flown on themselves.
