ok im currently flying in to a star to see what happenes the close i could get to it was 308,081 km so from there i aligned my ship and have been perma runing a MWD so im now going 3.4 km/s.
12 hours later 68,000 km away from the star and still going.
So has anyone done this b4 and if so what happenes?

When you reach the star you burn up and the character is permanently deleted.

Actually it would make sense as the energy output from a star at that close distance would be like getting alphastriked with a billion titan dd's. However in the games reality nothing at all happens. Well I guess you could fly into the center of the star and drop a bookmark so you can make some silly pics of ships bouncing off it at absurd velocities.

Nothing happens, did it years ago and i have a bookmark for a 0m warpin on a star for a system down in syndicate ^^

You don't get to zero. About 3km from the end you'll end up bounced out.
Back in the days of insta's I used to have an "instabounce" BM for a system in the rear end of period basis (I got given it by someone, can't remember who) that would let me do it from warp.

Make sure you make a few bookmarks just incase you get bounced before you create one :)

probably been answered allready, but I'm too freaking lazy to read.
you bounce off the star. no ill effect.
I used to use the surface of suns as safe spots (back in the days of multiple mwds you could get there easily, while anyone warping to you wound up 300k or so away).
now it's not worth the time to get there.

I actually have one of those. Y9G-KS, in fact. If you actually did it you'd know you get flung out at about 3,000,000 m/s.
BTW, to the OP: once you get to "0 km" you'll be nowhere near the center. In fact you probably have a lot further than 300,000 kms to go from there. Stars are huge. The only way I reached the center in a sane amount of time was with mid-warp bookmarks.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started.

as soon as they almost find you, just warp right back to the sun :P and WOOOSH your off into another random direction.
