... but there will be. In a new format. For now, make do with the fact that Fountain is burning. 5 station systems are contested, more to follow. Fights have been scarce but entertaining, as the defenders are conviced that bombers will defend their space.
The goon invasion in PNQ got halted for now, their lonesome POS still lives, so expect more fights over that one. SOT and PL are tagging along more or less, but no real offensives. Most likely that will change.

Have to admit, I luv the "their lonesome POS lives" line. Think that is the understatement of the year :)

Do youguys want to play the clowns and everything it brings with in terme of image (laughs, grins, funny & scary) or are you gonna play the "we're back, as an elite pvp force we once were" (but this time we took our pets inside our alliance)
I didn't like the video either, sound was not good, voices at the begining were terrible - also didn't apreciate the explosions, try using what CCP gives you (beams, bright lights and so on).
Overall, left realy disapointed, the video material made for the Delve retreat was better in every single way.

Only been in goonswarm about 3 months so take my opinion with a Grain of salt, Have no Dogs in the fight when it comes to the Drama etc I wasn't around back then to care, but to keep it real, last night it was about 300+ IT vs 300+ goon/pl/sot. Pretty much Even in numbers on both sides, fight was pretty much a face **** on IT, losing 3-1 and Pos was rep'd. So those claiming victory sounds more like someone claiming "Sure I was hit by a car, but did you see how much damage I did to that hood?!" That said, its a spaceship game... if your still whining about drama's that happened years ago... me be its time you got a life. (Also, those posting on Turnout that were not even there need to stop ball blowing, if you don't have facts don't pretend you do, goon's fielded more than half of the Force, so we definitely were there).
Anyways, all these silly personal attacks aside, was fun and thats what you're here for Isn't it? Fun fights and good times.
As for the video, my opinion is, could of been longer, your music cut over what you were saying, the intros and Ending were longer than the video, other than that good work (although the explosions were kind of cut n paste bitmap quality).

I actually find it hard to take Darius even remotely seriously after hearing his monumentally cringeworthy state of the goonion address. I wish I still had a link to it. All I remember is the all-too-obvious panic in his shaking voice as he read out from his pre-written script. I was the perfect encapsulation of what it means to be a goon. Socially inept, and desperately trying to impress other goons by being as 'shocking' and 'edgy' as possible, and craving acceptance.
Well worth a listen, if you can stand listening to his increasingly desperate attempts to shock.

Did you guys not see how badly this worked for you in the last couple years? You just give motivation to other players to log in and stab you, while alienating allies. And please dont reply "it is what we want, bring it eve" because clearly this isnt 2005 and right now you do not need more enemies.
The cultural and ingame victories of alliances like goons and atlas clearly showed that the laid back / self ironic style is alot more functional to an alliance yet you insist with the terrible internet tough guy shenanigangs - why?

I personally enjoy completely overplaying a poker hand and losing madly. It's way more fun than going with the ancient girl meme of "omg, I so failed that test!" and then watching the grade list and seeing her having an "A-".
Not sure if that made any sense to you, but it does to me. :)

Topic: What I gather without really caring about either side is.... IT wins this thread because they aren't whinning and crying. Goons and friends lose since they are negative and complaining. All this relates to in game because the complainers and whinners are 99% of the time the losers or are losing in game.
Why don't both of you stop being predictable and go wipe out AAA or something. Thank god for TRI doing what needs to be done in EvE by killing off the North. Bless you TRI!
I am sure PL will get to the point where they remember having fun in the game instead of blobbing and waiting, it really isn't worth it guys.

We are not organisationally arrogant, if that is what you are implying. We (most of us,) project an indifferent attitude towards forums, local and, to some extent teamspeak. To those outside looking in, it is easy to mistake a sense of urgency for arrogance.

And yet I am going to point it out anyway. EvE is a game. Games are about having fun. If our idea of fun involves blowing up and being blow up, then we will gracefully accept our role as "hostiles." It is not like we really hate specific players. I have great respect for my competitors. But if I can get a few more wins and losses because someone really hates me, then so be it.

You just said 'culture,' 'ingame victories' and 'SA-rejects' in the same sentence. Sorry man. The so-called laid-back style is not one I associate with that particular brand.
What you and others percieve as arrogance, elitism or a self-ironic laidback style, depend entirely on your perspective.
Inside ours (and indeed any alliance,) you are bound to find examples of all the best and worst of human behaviour.
Back on topic...
IT alliance, PL and SoT have delivered dozens of large scale fights for their members. The three entities have whacked eachother on the hard on the head. Hundreds if not thousands of ships have been reduced to insurance claims. Everyone is forced to reconsider years of habitual doctrins.
Hence the title. Nothing new from the frontlines... yet.
(The campaign for real truth. I speak for myself. this is my main.)

Bob were never arrogant, sure they had pride but which alliance doesnt, I mean GoonSPLOT does, I know Goons play the "we are so terrible and emotional, please give us attention" card but even when Goons are spamming they are taking pride in their stupidity,.. Arrogance was a weak prop labelling campaign Goons spent every day of their ęfunĘ time, trying to brand people, I mean they even call AAA / Atlas it,.. They thought the campaign 'worked' back then because people left GBC, but like everything else Mittani took credit for it which he has nothing to do with,.. He is basically the Glenn Beck of EvE while Goons are nothing more than 4chan wanna bee Fox news circle jerkers,..
In short IT arenĘt arrogant but if people wish to brand them as that, then so be it, Goons have desperately tried every method in killing Bob / IT and failed, as I have stated many times Goons only managed to ę**** Bob offĘ nothing else,..
Goons have been trying soo hard to get MolleĘs attention for years and I am sure they will continue to,.. But this isnĘt arrogance it is merely obsession from Goons and tolerance from IT,..
Oh and if you want to know what arrogance is, just read anything written by Viper / Mittani, they think they are God, anyway if IT are guilty of being arrogant then so is GoonSPLOT,..

Props for bringing some changes to 0.0 - but I have a :serious: question about the arrogance gimmick.
Bob were never arrogant, sure they had pride but which alliance doesnt, I mean GoonSPLOT does, I know Goons play the "we are so terrible and emotional, please give us attention" card but even when Goons are spamming they are taking pride in their stupidity,.. And away from CAOD they are running around complimenting themselves for stuff they had nothing todo with (Mittani, pro credit hog),..

That video was good but the credits at the end vanished before I had time to read them. I think you should make the credits longer because someone spent a lot of time on that video and it's only fair that they get the recognition they deserve. If you need to, you could make the bit where the spaceships are moving forward a bit shorter.

Hey click this link instead, far superior videos.
... but there will be. In a new format. For now, make do with the fact that Fountain is burning. 5 station systems are contested, more to follow. Fights have been scarce but entertaining, as the defenders are conviced that bombers will defend their space.
The goon invasion in PNQ got halted for now, their lonesome POS still lives, so expect more fights over that one. SOT and PL are tagging along more or less, but no real offensives. Most likely that will change.
Tune in again.

I¦m impressed, it took only between 5-12 hours for the goon brigade to read the chatlogs. maybe their is a future for this planet, with the upcoming global warming etc etc.

Looked like some stock footage you dug up from the gallente/amarr cinematics ccp put out just after emp age was released. nearly 6k pilots and none of them frapsed a damn fountain fight? you guys need some more think for your selfers it sounds like.

Did you guys not see how badly this worked for you in the last couple years? You just give motivation to other players to log in and stab you, while alienating allies. And please dont reply "it is what we want, bring it eve" because clearly this isnt 2005 and right now you do not need more enemies.
The cultural and ingame victories of alliances like goons and atlas clearly showed that the laid back / self ironic style is alot more functional to an alliance yet you insist with the terrible internet tough guy shenanigangs - why?

I personally enjoy completely overplaying a poker hand and losing madly. It's way more fun than going with the ancient girl meme of "omg, I so failed that test!" and then watching the grade list and seeing her having an "A-".

Interesting how many replies are from Goons..
Looking at killboards it seems more like stalemate than a victory for either side. Of course if you factor saving the iHUBs and the stantion it is a points victory for PL and Co. The question is how much longer can PL rely on Goons going up to defend their space (250 goons out of 481 man fleet)?

That is because you don't see the big picture. Let me break this down into smaller parts.
One pompous individual (we'll call him "pink hat") tells his alliance to "call out of work" so they can take 2 contested systems.
Then "pink hat" also calls on "allies" to Alarm Clock/Call Out (I'll give you a hint who was called.. The ones IT calls irrelevant)
That alliance+friends then proceeds to fail at accomplishing a single objective stated for the night. In both contested systems the IT fleet is left a field of wrecks with the SBU's destroyed. In both systems the Goon/PL/SOT fleet is left to loot the wrecks.
Then "pink hat" makes a post about leaving before completing objectives, at which point his alliance flees the field before destroying the onlining iHub (irony?).
TL;DR - "pink hat" tells IT call in sick. IT does not accomplish ANYTHING. IT members actually become sick (of incompetence on the part of "pink hat")

The best part is the people looking at IT's killboard and saying "Oh, it was a stalemate". Of course, because IT would NEVER misreport loses. No no, not IT. It's not as if they have a reputation for not posting loss mails and not backing their killboard by API. So yah, IT only lost 50 battleships. You keep telling yourself that.

I know for me, when I went back to Delve after our complete and utter failure to conquer Sys K from two regions away, I was unable to do anything but rat officer spawns in your former space for days on end to console myself.

Man Delve is literally the most hilariously broken region i have ever seen. Officer spawns with the best officer mods, faction spawns, hauler spawns, Blood Temple Complex all over the place dropping Core-X Type Hardeners and junk.
I have been in GoonSwarm for years and I can easily say I've made more ISK in the last 8 months than I ever did in angel space.

Just to clarify your point. You've lost sov in 4 systems and 5 are contested. You are outnumbered and you've lost alot of the high end moons. You barely put up any defense and at the end of the day you hype over a single loss on ITs part. You must be stupid. What did your little cap fleet even do? Did you win any systems back? Did you destroy It moral and cost them so much in replacements they can barely put up a fight? Their high end moons can pay off and replace any losses and they have the numbers to keep beating you into the ground. GS is the only reason you are still barely limping along and they have money to worry about. What happens when they cant send you any support? Then whose going to come save the day? |

Tar'an Tula owes me a stack of Navy gamma L but I don't really bother him about it because i loaned them to him when we were doing a plex together and well the 5 DB BS worth of loot and the x type explosive armor hardener made me forget about them.
