In game play a common strategy is to have a decoy invite an attack that then calls in help or reinforcements. How about having a communications jamming module that the attacking ship can target to prevent that call for reinforcements. On the other hand the other ship can counter with an enhanced communication module to over ride the jamming. I want to block all chat channels and voice. Don't know if vent and team speak can be jammed but I think it would add another dimension to the game.

Then jam skype/ventrillo/e-phones and so on. Was talked to death, won't happend and won't work.

Problem is you can't jam third party programs like ventrillo or team speak. Otherwise it's a brilliant idea.

I think it is ingenious idea to jam the com-chat-links, it adds on to the realism of the game.
Add to the idea list to disable Corp-chat when player moves to WH space. I think it is a dumb thing to be able to chat over Corp-chat when com-signals are lost in alien space due to the absence of a local communication beacon. To fix the issue pilots need to anchor a new communication beacon in WH-space to get Corp-chat com-signals back on.

Well then jam the overview too so there is no info to communicate other than the fact of being jammed. Disable fleet finder and isolate the target completely. makes the ambush harder so anyone warping in cant find where to go unless they have compensation modules. The French would be exempt. LOL

I have been think how to do communication Jamming. What I would like to see is the result of a communication jamming module. Write the game program so that if a ship's communications are jammed the ship is isolated and other players are unable to fleet up with them or warp to them. Wouldn't matter if they had vent, teamspeek or a cell phone. This would be a counter to ambushes.
