Noob question: I'm building up my current toon to help my corp with gang assist, particularly in logistics and repair. Some people have recommended training up for a Oneiros, but others have told me they are basically huge juicy targets that will always die first. So would it actually be viable to use drones exclusively for repair, as opposed to tackling or damage? Say filling a Dominix or Ishtar exclusively with repair drones. Obviously if they get shot down, you can't help anyone. But remote repair takes up slots and cap, etc., which could be used for so many other things.
Thoughts?

RR drones are not gonna keep someone alive. . . I've always said make your ship do what its supposed to and everything else is a plus.
That being said, there are RR Domi setups that are very effective

bunch of maint drone II's
buffer tank
cap injectors/mods
not hard
in general: RR drones (mediums generally) from a bunch of buffer/gank ships are a great way to keep your logistics ships alive a bit longer. Gang assisting or RR gangs really need either a whole bunch of RR battleships or a couple logistics ships. Drones don't really enter the equation here, slow/low rep amount

One use for Remote Repair modules - if you're in a drone boat - is fixing your own drones.
One use for Repair Drones is fixing people at a distance.
If you have both RR Modules and Repair Drones you can fix someone a little faster than with the RR Modules alone.

the range bonus and oneiros gets for Remote Armour Reps should be enough for u to kite at a safe range, and if u get shot at first, with basically only missiles, or sniper boats hitting u, u can warp out, and come back in, repair drones just give u that added boost to keep someone alive that little bit longe, and with skills, in an oneiros, u can fit 4 lrg Remte Armour Reps II, and a Remote ECCM Projector II, and still be cap stable

Why waste a perfectly good drone damage bonus when you can field as many rep drones from a Mega/Phoon/Geddon and do a lot more damage at the same time.
