Like alot of win7 users I have not been able to use my eve voice at all since the dominion patch, it worked perfectly before and now nothing... I was excited when I read the thread about Vivox releasing the fix, but even after the patch still no eve voice so either 1 of 2 things happened.
1.It is fixed for others using win 7 but not myself. (which would be my own problem) 2. The fix didnt really fix anything at all.
While this isnt gamebreaking what it is; is very annoying since alot of corps use eve voice and it leaves alot of us with very boring very quiet playtimes.
Id like to see responses of win 7 users and if this patch did or did not fix the eve voice issue, also the massive lag it was creating upon login which is cured by disabling eve voice itself.

For me it is "half fixed". I run 2 clients windowed on the same PC (on 2 separate screens) running Windows 7RC 64bit . Under Apocrypha both clients worked with eve voice (although I only used 1 client for voice normally). After Dominion, neither would connect to the voice service. Since 1.0.3 the second client CAN connect to voice but the main client CANNOT Same hardware, same OS, 1 works and 1 doesn't....Still have to check differences in caches etc but nothing I do with settings as yet helps.

make sure you have the latest FFDshow codecs installed. If you have a old/bad version of codecs, EVE Voice will fail to initialize.

Update - cleared cache again on the main client, now both clients connect to eve voice. Whatever they patched has worked for me.

Mid Morning Bump, can someone tell me where the cache is on Win7? I thought i found it but it didn't solve my issue. One char has access to eve voice, the other does not.

After reading a few posts here, I turned around and updated to 64 bit audio drivers, THEN cleared the cache and it started to work once again. For the poster above me the location in win 7 is
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\
type that into the run menu under accesories and you should be set. Just finding it odd that it would'nt work till after I cleared the cache. One thing I would recommend to ppl still having issues is to make sure you turn off compatibility settings, uncheck the compatibility mode box and let eve run under win7 native , that pretty much cleared up any issues I had left after the patch. Thanks to those who posted here.
