CLANN Fian is now ready to start recruitment again. Our last session of recruiting was so successful that we had to stop accepting members for a few weeks while we got our new people trained and deployed. If I have not responded to your eve mails or convos please accept my apologies and try again now.
CLANN Fian is a wormhole only corporation. All of our members live in wspace. Please do not apply to this corp if you are planning on living somewhere else and visiting wspace from time to time. We do not have any members running missions or living in highsec, and there is no reason to apply if you are not planning on moving in to wspace.
We currently have many POS deployed in many different types of wspace to cater to a wide range of SP levels and interests. We having mining crews and PvE crews that run ops every day and make buckets of isk. We have PvP gangs that roam wspace and ambush the careless and lazy, as well as the occasional jaunt out to lowsec or nullsec to pick fights with the willing.
We just ran an in corp PvP tournament. We have industrialists and inventors, manufacturing and research, drug labs and capital ship construction. More or less, we have everything that Eve has to offer in the context of Wspace without the drama and time sync of large alliance commitments and mandatory time commitments to anything. We support our members in finding the best place for them to play and have fun while producing the isk they need to do what they want in the game and the support and fellowship to make it a blast.
Our crew system is open and flexible, and our corp infrastructure provides access to fertile wspace systems with unlimited resources available. We have a scalable and expansionist corp model that allows us to easily provide access to ABC ore and whatever class of sleeper sites our members need for maximum isk returns on time played.
Our PvP infrastructure provides access to the ships needed to learn to fight, and to protect our systems, as well as to go out and try to reach the top of our killboard. We are open to new PvP FCs to emerge, as well as players completely new to PvP who want to learn while filling their banks with isk in our other activities.
Wspace life is in systems with 0.0 security status and no local to tell you who is there. Expect to die, expect to kill, and expect to learn.
No SP minimum, but at least know how to play the basics of Eve and have an idea of what you are looking for. We are a wspace training corp, not a new player training corp. If you don't know how to play Eve on some level everything we do will be far over your head.
Please visit our forums to apply and/or get more information:
CLANN Fian Corp Forums: APPLY HERE
No drama or grief players, we are professional mature adults with real business backgrounds and lives. Though we don't have an age requirement, we do expect you to be low drama, patient, and reasonable. We are far more interested in the human behind the skill points.

I forgot to mention that Vent is required for almost everything we do. If you cannot converse in Vent you will be confused and left out of just about everything we do.
We will look at your application and then if we get past the app we will give you vent server details so we can have a voice conversation before we make a final decision on the application.

Edited by: Krea Tionz on 16/12/2009 13:18:03 A few comments from my own personal experience of moving to WH space for the first time for those who may be unsure (i've been a member of CLANN Fian for a few weeks).
Having played EVE on and off since 2003 and experienced pretty much all the game has to offer it was time to try something new, suffice to say i can't ever see myself living in empire or 0.0 again! I'm the kind of person who likes to mix things up, mining one day, farming sleepers another then using my hard earned isk for PVP the next and so on. The beauty of WH space is you have so many options of what to do, all of which are far superior to the 0.0 or empire version.
A few examples of this...
Like mining? How does an unlimited source of upto 35k Arkanor rocks, with rorqual compression 2 jumps from max refine high sec stations sound?
Like combat PVE but bored of lvl 4's? We have access to a range of different level Sleeper sites which support both solo and small gang opperations all of which are alot more fun and challenging than doing AE for the 500th time. Not to mention far more profitable and available to both low and high SP characters.
Like PVP? Well what can I say, Pvp without lag, without blobs, need I say more?
Like trading? With high sec WH's opening up mutliple times per day all over empire one day you have access to Solitude, the next could be Amarr..
The list goes on, but hopefully you get the idea. Of course there are risks involved, however with the knowledge and planning shown by our leadership these are kept to a minimum. It's a team effort and the rewards are unlimited! It is so refreshing to be able to claim your own piece of 0.0 space without needing a 5000 member alliance to back you up and without having to deal with all the politics that comes with living in 0.0.
Never a dull moment in WH space and once you have a good understanding of WH mechanic's you soon realise that this is the best addition to EVE CCP has made over the past 6 years (imo anyways).
If like i was you are curious about WH space and want to learn how to live and prosper but without being podded within 30seconds of entering a WH, I really cant recommend CLANN Fian highly enough. |

As a crew captain leading a small number of people on a deployment in our own POS with no K space exits i can safely say, life without local is truly one of glory.
Anyone who feels they want to get that little bit more out of the game, where 2 hours setting up a 3 hour op earns more then 15 hours of highsec shenanigans will apreciate the fun and acheivement you get out of playing a game the way we do totally makes up for the effort life in w space can involve.
Make your time playing video games one of challenges and rewards, not one of mindless tedium. Play eve on hard mode!

Were basicly 23/7, the two most active crew captains are GMT based, but there is plenty of room for new recruits to form active USTZ crews. It is encoraged and inevitably the crew captains end up the highest paid in corp. You dont need experience to form a crew plenty of support will be given from those of us who know what we are doing

We now have a public channel to help with recruitment as we have so many applicants. Join the "CLANN Fian Public" channel in game to get questions answered and to help along with the recruitment process. We have lists of people applying to the corp every day so it is a group effort to speak with and sort through our applicants.

From: Abarot Sent: 2010.01.11 18:06 To: Clann Fian, McKupsyde,
I will write in short sentences so you can grasp this
The only thing you are efficient at is giving yourself a hand
You fail at basic thing like communicating with people You are a rare kind of **** with self esteem going throught the roof Everyone who reads your posts on the (guild) forums knows it
and it seems that you recruit monkies who would make isk for your (why don't you let ppl see corp transactions ? why noone is allowed to ask anything?)
for the rest, dont trust him and question everything
-------------------------------- Re: o7 From: McKupsyde Sent: 2010.01.10 19:44 To: Clann Fian,
I do not like ignorant contrary smart asses who waste my time talking in circles with nothing to offer. This is not a secret. I do not have time to debate every corp policy with every member in corp, this is important enough to me that it is in our recruitment thread. Learn what we do, do it well, then tell me how it can be better, not before then.
I will remove people who waste my time and annoy me. Neither of those things is what I want to spend my time on when I am in game, and this is my corp. Please expect to be removed if you do either. This is also not a secret and is not that hard to avoid.
As far as being an ass, I tend to agree. But a very efficient and effective one.
On the topic of arrogance, I think I am very humble for someone as brilliant and handsome as I am. On a more serious note when you find a leader who is not confident in what he is doing you will find one that is either leading nobody or leading nowhere.

Like spending hours formatting bookmarks down to the periods in the label, and getting yelled at when it's wrong? Prepare to be looked down upon unless your tongue graces the sack of McKupsyde, a 40 year old virgin with delusions of leading a group of internet pixels to glory! The most inflexible CEO ever, and that makes him the best CEO!

Meh. Its a shame when people feel the need to do this kind of thing. It seems it is you Sir that has the attitude problem. Throwing a tantrum and taking your comedy evemail to the forums is full of fail for you tbh. Stamping your feet when your quite frankly rubbish "ideas" are not implemented shows a lack of respect and patience. You could have learnt how we do things, do them well and then offer your improvements. Instead you chose to spout off sh*te then emoragequit and prove what everybody already suspected.
If our CEO/members were such nobbers do you really think there would be over one hundred happy, busy, isk earning toons in corp?
All I can ascertain is that you are butthurt that there was no mass exodus from the corp upon your departure and I wish you well in your new main/alt corp.

I joined this corp about a month ago and let me tell you I couldn't have made a better decision about which corp to join. So let me share my experience so far with them in case you yourself are unsure whether to apply or not.
First a little bit of my history. I was a pirate with -9 sec status and no alts living in low sec on the outskirts of high sec. So I was already used to being careful about who was in local and how and where I moved my ships. When I started playing the game with friends from another game I threw my self into pvp straight away and loved the game for it. If it was't for the pvp I wouldn't even play eve. But my friends for various reasons quit and so I was left with no one to play with which is kind rough in low sec as a pirate with a bad sec status. You can't really do anything all by your self if you want to have at least some form of efficiency or safety.
So I was looking around for another pirate corp which with my sec status really was my only viable option and also I couldn't fly anything bigger than a T1 cruiser and so I was really looking for a tight knit group of players who also enjoyed small scale pvp.
When I saw this ad on the forums I said to my self that maybe I should at least ask a few questions about how they live in w-space and what could I do there to have fun in the game. I liked the answers and since I couldn't find a good pirate corp that I'd feel good about I applied.
When I got accepted everyone gave me a really nice welcome regardless of my sec status or past and were more than happy to lend a hand right from the get go. I had 6,5m sp at that time and mostly pvp distributed so I couldn't join any combat ops and I never spent a min mining before.
So you'd think I just idled at the pos and since I was red couldn't get any ships into the system which is possible only through high sec?
Wrong. All I had to do was wait for someone to have a little spare time or go to high sec for their own needs and they brought me things on the way back. I also got an Imicus and learned to scan and started with playing a security role by watching potentially hostile holes for movement while others were mining.
By doing just this I earned my self in 2 weeks time around 200m isk, plus I now have around 5 ships at the pos and will very soon have more.
The only thing that you have to be aware of is that even though my corp m8s are always busy with something it still pays a lot if you are proactive about anything in game and are willing to organize things your self. Like in life eventually you are expected to be a contributing part of the family and if you can't see your self ever doing that I would advise to not apply.
To summarize, if you are looking for a friendly group of people, a chance to make a pile of money every day and being proactive about it, don't mind no local and being sometimes isolated from known space and love the cat and mouse or hide and seek games of small scale pvp engagements, this definitely is the right corp for you and I wouldn't hesitate applying if I were you. In fact I was you and I don't regret my decision in the slightest. :)

Edited by: Oriss Intaki on 12/01/2010 19:09:45 Edited by: Oriss Intaki on 12/01/2010 19:09:31 Great group of guys here to fly with, and many different classes of wormhole to fly in. Very friendly and helpful with those new to W-space. Good way to get started in the holes. Check them out if you don't want the politics of 0.0 or the "EVERYONE GET TO BASE THERE'S A RED IN LOCAL" attitude, but want all of the isk potential and spontaneous PVP.
EDIT: Oh, and don't forget, no 9000 man blobs either. Strictly small to medium gang almost even number, socking each other in the face. Great PVP.
