Why is there not a system for queueing skills in EVE ? It is just absurd and silly how this has been from day 1 I don't have the time to log into my accounts every 2 hours to check my skill training. Just makes me mad

I don't know why either. People say they that a queuing system would mean that some people would just log on once a month to change skills. I don't see why this is a bad thing. They are paying $15/month just like everyone else, so I don't see why a queuing system would be bad.

too easy to run character farms, where you train up a character in, let's say, all the learning skills and max them all out. that charcter would be worth a lot of RL$, and CCP doesn't want you selling ANYthing in the game for RL$. ever.
not to say this doesn't happen. it's just not something they want to encourage by making the process of training up a character so completely uninvolved that you wouldn't even have to log in for months at a time.

I dont think the ability to queue up just 1 more skill would be too facilitating to ebay farming, and such would be most handy... I hate it when I'm working on a really long skill and go to check on it the last day before logging out. I notice its only got 7 hours left... I can't be back on for 9 hours, yet I really want it done for when I do get back... And all the rest of my skills are either just 2-3 hours or 4+ days... If only I could queue one skill after it. But ah well I have a number of level 4 skills with 8-9 hours knocked off level 5 cause I often forget which one I changed too last time. I'm sure I'll live without :)

The only form of 'interesting' skill training I've heard the devs (TomB to be particular) say they might consider is a way to split training on a 30/70 basis, where you'd set a long skill on 70% training speed, and do a bunch of shorter ones on 30% and it would allow you to grow in a more involved way.
This works fine for me :)
What I'd like even more is automatic switching, and skill based distributions. With Training Managment lvl1 you can add 1 skill: If you're training one skill, it gets 100% training speed. Then you can train a second, and it bumps the first down to 70% and brings in the second at 30%. With lvl2 you can put in a third skill and the split will be 60/25/15 at level 3 you can do 50/20/15/15, at lvl4 you can do 50/20/10/10/10 and with lvl 5 you can do 40/20/10/10/10/10.
You know... it sounds like a dumb idea now that I've written it down... let's just get the 70/30 split please, that will make me happy :)

A fair number of folks could make good use of a skill que. If I deploy again for military duty, and again can't access on line games, a skill que would be really nice to have.

You do know you can start to train a longer skill at any given time and then go back to mop up the short one once you find the time to actually stay logged on and play the game, plan ahead like everyone else and stop whining. You noticing it that late in the progress is just you and poor planning.
