Title says all.
Just came back from a 2 year hiatus on a new rig. Pretty sure I have everything to run the game but it keeps crashing. Here's my current system specs:
AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+ 3.01 GHZ 4GB ram 32 bit Vista Ultimate Video card: Radion X150 ( i believe )
Any reason she keeps crashing on me?

+1. A lot and all of a sudden. To the point where i have a backup machine with eve, TS and Vent ready to log in as soon as my main pc locks up as i have to do a hard reset everytime. If it was ctd it wouldnt be so bad...
Currently doing a fresh OS install on my main rig so there is nothing but the above mentioned progs on it to see if there was something weird going on with malicious software somewhere in the system. --

Currently I'm unable to even boot eve.
Everytime I log in I crash like immediately. No visual on my ship, anything and I'm currently in space. Please CCP release a patch to fix this bug! Almost 3 years away and I'm eager to get back in to find out I keep getting the program crashes every time I log in.

Question:
I have a ATI card which is controlled by Catalyst. I've heard that catalyst screws with some games. Could this be the reason for my instant crashing upon loading?

X150 is very old, with that card you should try turning off pernium graphics.

I have experienced random crashes, my friends have experienced random crashes, random lag spikes and socket errors. Yesterday one of my friends simply logged because he either had to do that or throw the computer out the window.
Me I crash at least a couple of times every night. Mostly when exiting a station, jumping and arriving to a stargate and/or when jumping through a stargate... when I think about it most crashes seem to be warp related in some way, but not always.
I did not experience anything even remotly like this before dominion hit.

Edited by: Bat Baian on 18/12/2009 10:07:47 I'll add that with two clients running EVE sucks all the juice from my dual core CPU. Thats 2.66GHz Intel Core2 Duo E6750.
Even when both clients optimized for performance, zoomed out at maximum distance and set to autopilot from point A to B. No combat no nothing. Windows task manager hits 100% CPU usage and stays there. There are some images as proof. Max CPU 01 Max CPU 02 As you can see there is only eve running. It takes credit for all the CPU usage. And it uses it good to the point that mouse pointer in windows starts to lag. Or if you try to start anything else like ACDSee or something the PC becomes totally irresponsible and needs to be rebooted.
Things are especially bad when using AP. CPU usage may be normal for a starter but the second the ship jumps to another system CPU usage rockets to 100% and stays there. As seen from this screenshot. The spike to 100% occurs right after the "Autopilot jumping" system message. Max CPU 03

Intel Core2 6420 @2.13GHz 4Gb RAM NVidia 9800 GTS+ XP SP2
Time to time client crash upon jump-gate use (either on activation or on arrival to jump-gate destination) - can't catch pattern, it just _happens_, but not too often. Asus F3Se laptop with Vista Home don't have this problem.
As for CPU load mentioned - I have this issue too after Dominion. Single client running brings CPU usage to 23-27%, dual-boxing is 40-60% at the beginning, then sometimes it rise to 100% and slows up everything but clients themselves. Client restart helps.
Sometimes CPU load is quite fine tho - upon writing this and having two clients minimized I only have 2-5% CPU load...
