100% (or 99.9% idrc) reduction in microwarpdrive and afterburner CPU requirements.
PG= 17
CPU = 1
add a midslot.
This way, nothing can be fit to this except speed mods, it is still not a fighting ship, and yet it serves its purpose better, rather than having to use an interceptor or something not meant for shuttling.
edit: Low priority because theres a LOT that needs fixing/rebalancing before this, namely moms and sov.

Why would you need this kind of speed on a shuttle that's going to spend more time in warp than out?

yeah, what we really need is to increase warp speed, agility, and nerf the sublight speed a bit, makes it faster in the long run

Lol nope.
Besides, shuttles are ****ing fast anyways... just give them an ECM slot instead.

Which is exactly why the changes you propose should not happen. You only fly in 0.0 in a shuttle when you have control of the systems you're moving through. Otherwise, use a frigate.

Slasher, Condor, Executioner, Atron. Cost as much as a shuttle, and holy crap, midslots and lowslots! Even highslots if you're daring.

No, a shuttle's job is to be a cheap method to get from point a to point b, originally designed in an era when they were seeded by NPCs at every station and undocking in a pod was impossible. If you want additional capabilities, such as the ability to fit modules, get a frigate, interceptor, or covops.

I vote no. Shuttles are just warp cores with an engine and a dock for the pod. No need for fitting slots. If you want more functionality, get a nice cheap Executioner or Condor or something, you can set them up to be faster than a shuttle, plus various EW and weapon options. Shuttles aren't frigates, and they shouldn't have fittings.
