if everyone came out at the same spot people owuld park like 10 bs there and the jumpers wouldnt be able to move, not to mention that high traffic gates would be a problem... or when moveing a fleet through space... imagine your entire corp undocking from a station at once... not pretty
these are reasons dev are payed money and people like you will never have anything to do with the techinical aspect of games I am back |

Sally, you need to start looking at the game and how your 'insta nerf' would effect eve. I agree that the bubbles need to be improved. For those that can't figure it out what would happen I'II spell it out for you.
-Access to 0.0 gets locked off. It wouldn't take much after removing instas.
-Removing instas will mean more people will gank -any moron in a Gankageddon could pick people off. Locking down a gate should be doable, but not easy - 1 person shouldn't be able to lock down a gate.
-The price of rare minerals would skyrockets in Empire.
-The price of non-rare minerals in 0.0 would skyrockets.
-Ship loss goes up trying to defend POS/lvl4 missions/complexes and now your 'I want to gank everything that flies my way feature' - do to lack of minerals price of ships/components inflates way beyond any average players reach.
-People won't want to spend their entire Saturday game play flying their character 70 jumps from Empire to deep 0.0 (and vise versa) -ccp could move the default warp point closer to the gate to offset nerf, but then you're giving everyone in eve a freebee. Making BMs is a lot of work and gives you a tactical advantage, this shouldn't be removed.
The final result would be players wouldn't venture into 0.0 do to 100% insta gank fest & unreasonable travel times- The outcome would be less people for you to gank. So much for your perfect plan.
Try to think through the game dynamics and how your idea would effect the eve community as a whole, not just you. Next time you log onto Eve do a 'pilots in space' notice that +80% of players are in Empire. It's pretty simple really. Players need better tools to lock down gates. Not another nerf. This game has suffered enough from those already.

Warp to gate at 500km.
Check what's going on.
0 risk.
Sit SS till just before/after DT : 0 Risk Take a 10 BS fleet : 0 Risk (against your average camp) etc etc
If people do not want to fight, they will find a way a round it. What do you suggest we do to stop gate campers warping off the moment a superior force comes near? After all the nerf bat swings both ways --------------------------------------------------

Exactly! if players want to camp a gate make sure they have a certain amount of risk, something to loose. This is why some players don't use large mobile warp disruptors - because if a superior fleet shows up they have to warp away and loose the disruptor. Most pirates don't want to take that risk. Hmmm, seems pretty one sided to me. |

Warp scrambled ships shouldn't be able to jump. So a fast locking ship should be able to lock an instajumper and warp scramble him. That would solve the problem without getting rid of instajumps.
This would fix the duel, triple mwd ships also. Lock them and scramble before they hit the gate.
A timer would work but I think its better to only have adverse effects, like waiting for a gate, when theres a reason to wait (somebody doesn't want you to leave just yet )
