Is it viable or profitable to mine in a Rokh? I have a character that's mostly done combat stuff, but I'm looking into mining now. I was thinking of fitting my Rokh with Miner IIs and Mining Laser upgrade IIs with mining drones. What do you think? Am I wasting my time, or can I make some isk with this?

I don't know how many times this has been asked already. Of you wanz to do it As a sidejob its ok, but for serious mining go get a barge. There should Be a thread ob One of the following pages, take a Look for it!

Yeah, mining in a Rokh is viable, you will be able to outmine a Retriever under some circumstances (e.g. if the Retriever pilot is using tech I Strip Miner's). You have to pull some stunts to offload your ore effectively, as you won't be able to hold that much, your cycles are shorter, etc.

Given max skills it is possible to make a rokh that mines at +1m3 per minute than a covetor. It does require 1 faction cpu upgrade. The only drawback in cargo space. You will have to dump into a can or orca or rorqual after almost every cycle.
A rokh can very easily out mine a retriever even if the retriever is using t2 strips.
EDIT: So except for the hulk you can out mine roids faster than anyother ship.
EDIT 2: I love how people just repeat the crap about it being only on par with a retriever without ever actually running the numbers themselves.

Wouldn't a Rokh be more useful in WH space harvesting gas? I think it would almost be perfect for that.

Too expensive for an otherwise defenseless gas mining ship, in my opinion. I live in a C2 and use a cheaper Ferox. I previously used a Moa, but I wanted a little more cargo.

Viable and "fun": Fun = busy.
I start 4 miners and wait for a quarter cycle then start the rest. I fill a jet can with Bisot in 40 minutes. However, the ultimate jet can is an Orca set at 50m distance...
