Besides the wonderful stunt they pulled to advertise for it, I'm going over the dev diaries and I'm pleased with how it looks. Now I've never played God of War so you must forgive me about how the gameplay seems really fresh to me, and it just seems like such an awesome setting to go through and fight in.
What do you guys think? ________________________________________________

this actually.
played the demo and gameplay-wise, is pretty much God of War, which means easy-to-start gameplay and lots of brutal and bloody combos using, in this case, Death's scythe, which also extends (lol). ---

I hope a majority of you understand that this game, though named similar, has nothing whatsoever in common with the epic poem.
I've read the poem and though it was a long time ago, I don't remember anything about a scythe wielding warrior going to town on Satan's minions. -------------------------------------------------- Loyalty is simply slavery of ones own choosing. If ever you have the choice, Choose your master well."

They explained that in their Dev Diaries. ________________________________________________

EARs is the Ea studio in redwood city California, It was decide not to fix any bugs unless that bug caused this project to fail CQC.
Visceral is on thin ice after the Dead space for the Wii sold like 40k copies world wide and EA dosnt want to fork up any cash to produce Dantes inferio.
The psp version is still in alpha along with all DLC for other consoles.
Starting next year EA is going to produce MMO's instead of alot of smaller projects. As this is going to be one of the last console games EA produces it is lacking in quality.
all of this is just my opinion of course as i have no idea how Ea operates...

meh, storywise the game seems good enough, altho it just seems a God of War clone, as far as gameplay is concerned.
tbh I have no qualms to that, since some games can be good even if they haven't any innovation gameplay-wise (point-in-case Dragon Age). The game seems polished enough, and the storyline engaging (from the demo), but then again, we can only see how it pans out.
the major problem however is how close the game is to the release of God of War 3 (both releases are set 1 month apart from each other). ---

Edited by: Wesley Hawkins on 20/12/2009 05:48:49 Yes they spent alot of time on the demo, tryin to weed out all c and b ranked bugs.
But when playing dragons age youll notice alot of c/b bugs (sorting issues, AI pathing, and the random game freeze) and when you play through DI youll notice alot more c bugs some b and 2 a bugs that where never pin pointed and that CQC where not informed about ( so they could not reproduce this bug therefore causing a cqc fail)
This will bother some ppl to others its not a big deal. but for my 60 bucks i like for the producers to at least try.
*dragon age is bioware which is also owned by ea but was tested in EA canda and EA FLA*
Edit for non testing nerds: C bug= minor/known shippable bug
B bug= bug that needs to be addressed b4 shipping
A bug= game ending bug aka youll have to reload your last save
