Hi
I've been playing for nearly two weeks since i buyed the game and i enjoy it but after finishing the first epic arc i didn't know what to do so i leave my cruiser in hi sec and jumped to a 0.0 system with a Kestrel, two warp core stabilizers, a salvager and some missiles (i thought i could die soon so i'm traveling lightly).
The problem is that, ignoring the random guy that tries to catch you and some pirates in the gates, the missions and environment are mostly the same so i started this thread for advise in how to make this experience more fun... or should i forget this and try to join a corp or there's something i'm missing?
Regards
P.D.: sorry for my english

most people in 0.0 are in corps/alliances
mainly as it makes it easier to survive, 1 person is an easily obtained killmail, 2+ people working together are slightly more difficult to kill
have some fun out there, expect to die sooner rather than later, and maybe someone out there will be impressed enough to tell you to apply.

First thing to note is that most 0.0 is claimed and guarded by Alliances and corps
If they are worth their salt, your warp core stabs will be useless, since they'll have the entry chokepoints bubbled.
If you do get past the inhabitants, I'd recommend using your scanners to scan down anomalies. Or using a probe launchers to scan down signatures There are plenty of extremely profitable exploration sites in 0.0
Just don't expect to get your ship out since, you'll likely be hunted down and shot, if you aren't in a friendly corp or in the territory of CVA and further more why do i even need a sig? |

Suspect you'd struggle with a lot of the exploration sites in a kestrel, but the L1 mission would be ok.
Having said that ninja salvaging could be very profitable if you salvage T2 ship wrecks. It's just finding the opportunities to do so.

Your mistake got bold italic underline. Fit for combat. You can take some ships 1v1 in a kestrel if you have some skill, but at first I'd recommend looking for some people to fly with and to try the griffin with it's awesome price/ewar power ratio. The things that make 0.0 different from high sec or low sec are the pvp and the exploration. So either base out of an npc station with a probing heron and some other more combat/looting capable ship and scan out stuff, or go look for fight in whatever or with friends.

All law abiding pilots are welcome in Providence. You can fly there and get a feel.
Also.. if you just want to explore, then a nano fitted frig will get you most places in new eden.

Warp Core stabs are no good if you actually want to get in a fight. They gimp your targetting rather badly. And they're downright useless if you're in a bubble.
You'd be better off fitting speed and agility mods in your low slots and trying to fly fast out of any bubbles you get in. A fast aligning frigate will get into warp before most pirates can get a lock. In low sec, the gate pirates tend to fly bigger slower locking ships because of the gate guns trying to shoot them.
In 0.0, the inhabitants will likely use bubbles to catch you initially and then try to get a lock while you power out of the bubble. For this reason, it's advisable to fly small, agile and cheap ships. Don't warp to zero into gates or stations, instead warp to a nearby object and scan to make sure there's no bubble.
When going through a gate, if you emerge in a bubble, wait for a few seconds and look around first. Look for the nearest bubble edge. Find something near to right ahead of you and power to that, then wapr as soon as you're out of the bubble. Alternatively if your ship is really fast, turn and power back to the gate, then jump through.
Another alternative is to look at your opposition and try to take them out - often this isn't possible as camps tend to have enough firepower to take out frigates rather quickly, but you might be able to take one of them with you. If it's a solo gate-camp then fighting might be your best option.
