Edited by: Luna Jade on 16/11/2004 06:55:50 This may be wrong, but I was told that if I did missions for the agent following the tutorial agent, he would give me an Implant as a reward.
I have done countless missions for him and he will not show me the money! (Love that movie, sorry) :) Not to mention the fact that he is supercilious, condescending, and generally cantankerous. As an agent, he is ill tempered, quarrelsome, disagreeable, and makes me want to go to my happy place...
When will he give me some respect? Heck, forget the respect, just pony over the implant! I have carted everything from secret plans to sycophantic slaves all over empire space for this monumental meanie.
Have I done something wrong? :) Thank you!

You have to do 7 of the named missions in total, the 7th's reward is a +1 implant.

Err. I think you may have been doing missions for the wrong agent. As I remember all the Amarr schools direct you to the same female agent, but you refered to him as 'he'. Sorry I can't remember her name and location, perhaps some other can.

Aleira Mahood is the agent you are after if you have completed your 9 or 10 tutorial missions

Draaaaat!
My tutorial agent, Lidafa Maga, referred me to Ayah Maeed; and I have done probably 30 quality -19 missions for him. Very not profitable, and quite irritating ;)
I will look up the other agent.
Thank you for the replies :)

Edited by: Luna Jade on 16/11/2004 23:53:40 Update: I got the implant, thank you :)
Should I just look for new agents with a good quality rating?
Or should I accept the implant agent's suggestion as to the next agent I should focus on? The one she suggested is -18 quality; is there some reason I should do all of his too?

It used to be you only got agents by recommendation from you current one. Castor changed that, so look for the highest quality one of the type you want and go with that. If you've gotten the +2 Amarr faction boost from working with the noob agents, you should be about ready for a L2 agent, so look for those.
Open the map and choose My Agents in it. That will show all the agents available to you if you put your cursor over the green systems, their quality, and at which station they're located.

Thank you, F'nog. I do not know if I got the +2 status: how do I check? I do know that my faction rating is 1.03 (Satisfactory) with the Amarr empire.

Bummer, the faction rating is what I was talking about. It used to be you'd get +2 from doing the first agent's missions, then I thought they changed it to +1 for the first, and +1 for the second. But I guess you just get the implant instead.
Therefore, buy the skill Connections and train it up to 3 or 4. That'll boost your standings with all friendly empires, corps and agents, and will help you get into higher level ones sooner.
For the time being, use the map to find the highest quality L1 agent you can find near you and use him. You can also do multiple missions at a time, so if you can find several in one system, or even better, the same station, go for that. It's best if they're of similar type though, cause mixing courier and kill missions can be tricky with noob skills. It's doable though.

Don't be in too much of a rush to unlock level 2 agents. Get comfortable with anything a level 1 throws at you before you move out. Look at moving into a better frigate and upgrading your modules. Civilian-class pulse lasers and shield boosters won't cut it. =)
