Now that these have been out a while and some of the worst bugs have been fixed, I'm interested in hearing the experience that others have had with these, and how it matches with our own. We have installed upgrades as high as level 4 so far. We've earned some level 5s, but we're holding off on the freighter op that would be required until we gain more experience.
Pirate Detection This was obviously broken at release. Since the despawn/respawn has been fixed the issue still remains that most of the anomolies are empire grade cruiser/battlecruiser quality, which are only appropriate for very young characters who can't make more simply belt ratting and chaining spawns.
Entrapment Our experience is that our level 4 upgraded system doesn't spawn a great deal more sites than our systems with level 1 upgrades. If this is working at all, I'm not convinced that the benefit justifies the effort.
Quantum Flux (wormhole) As far as we can tell, this one isn't working at all, or the increased chance of a wormhole is so small that it would only be noticed over a long period of time. Since installing this upgrade to level 4 we've found just as many wormholes in our un-upgraded systems as in our upgraded system.
Ore Prospecting This one works as advertised. One additional belt per level that typically spawn ore that we don't normally see in our space. It would be a big benefit to those who mine everything needed for production in 0.0, but I don't think most 0.0 miners do. Most cherry pick high ends and bring low-ends from empire.
Survey We don't have enough experience with this one to tell yet. Hopefully it will be more effective than Entrapment.
I'd be interested in hearing what other alliances who have installed these have found. Maybe CCP would appreciate the feedback too. ---------------- We're recruiting quality players. Check us out. |

I agree. Most dissapointing is pirate detection, which fails to bring a good (by good I mean fine, not omgwtfImRich!!!11!) source of income into 0.0 as I hoped it would do.
Mining sites seems fine to me, many rares and in good quantity so far. I would leave these as they are.
I havenŠt tested both WH or Exploration sites as I am not interested in any of those.
So far I think Pirate Detection needs a boost, at least getting rid of shame 0.7 like rats. Rather stupid to work hard for the improvement to get something you can get effortlessly in high sec... -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After another week of experience we're more convinced that the Entrapment (complexes) and Quantum Flux (wormhole) upgrades at level 4 aren't working, or if they are, it's chance based with a low enough percentage increase in probability that it might take a very long time (months) to notice a difference.
Our level 4 upgraded system has not produced more complexes or wormholes than neighboring un-upgraded systems in our constellation since we've been keeping track.
The descriptions on these upgrades, and the descriptions of them in the dev blogs are fairly vague, so I can't say with absolute certainty that they aren't working. If anyone who has installed these is having a different experience, or if a dev would like to comment about how these are supposed to work and why we might be seeing what we're seeing I'd be interested. ---------------- We're recruiting quality players.
