I wanted to know what are your opinions on the priority for this skill. I know I'll be training it eventually for Marauders, but before then I've got other things I could train, such as Hull Upgrades 5 for T2 hardeners. What kind of priority would you put on BS lvl 5?

Train BS5 as soon as you can fully T2 fit your ship.

This pretty much. I'd also put relative support skills to 5 as well, such as motion prediction if you are a turret user etc.
Finishing up my final battleship 5 in a few hours :)

I would say train it right before training your primary weapon systems spec skill too lvl 5. And that's right after every support skill to lvl 4, and your main support skills ( cap and either armor or shield tanking ) to lvl 5. Unless you only fly gank then it might be worth it training BS 5 sooner. But it's a long ass skill, so you gotta ask yourself in those 30 days ( or however long it'll take you ) how much other skills could I train and how much more effective would I be for it.

Do what I did. Start the skill when subscription end and then take a month break from the game. When you return you haz BS5 and can go pewpew.
Ohh, thats correct. Cant do thatz anymore :p

I'm definitely almost just about to get my first BS V. Just as soon as I finish off a few other skills...

Really depends on the fits you use and how much time you spend in the ship. Plus what other stuff you see yourself doing.
Though by the sounds of it you're going to have some faily massive gaps, Hull Upgrades V is pretty vital early on and you might want to look into better drone skills and Advanced Weapon Upgrades if those are lacking.
As an Amarr player getting T2 lasers is pretty vital so that's being done first, since I fly harbingers mostly for PvP I'll probably finish off the gunnery support skills as well, then Cruiser V etc. for HACs / Hictors, Recons, then maybe BC V and then after all thaat I may look back into doing BS V.

Like others have said, for missioning, I would get BSV as soon as you can do a full T2 fit, including drone skills. For pvp, though, it gets a little more complicated. It's rare that I use a battleship in pvp, but when I do, it's nice to have it shine, especially, as Amarr battleships are particularly good.

Currently training Mim BS 5, 5 days in so far  . Having to move 2 days before christmas, and the landlord not allowing small holes in the walls for cable (I hate wireless) means its going to be a bit longer then I expected before I get up and running again  , expect at least to finish 2 weeks of BS 5. I have cable TV, but without EVE it felt like monday started on friday all over again and this has been longest weekend that I can remember
