Hi,
Is anyone else having these issues? Started for me just yesterday, completely randomly. 1- On the character selection page 1 or 2 of the character selection icons are just black boxes. Can select and logon normally, but the picture never appears. 2- In game a random selection of ships and item icons are the same, the picture never loads and all I see are black boxes. Again no problem with accessing the ship/item, but it's annoying to have no visual cue's to go by.
There seems to be no consistency in what icons are missing, if I log out and then back on, it will(usually) be a different selection of missing pictures. To try and remedy the problem I have, cleared cache, temp files, uninstalled and reinstalled a fresh copy of Eve. Also tried logging in with a different account, however the problem just won't go away.
Running on Windows 7 64 bit OS

Issue is the same with current test server build. Have just tested on another machine and the issue doesn't seem to occur on that,so something on my machine causing problems by the looks..

I'm also having this exact same problem. Just began a couple of days ago for me as well.
I've reported it through a petition, but am getting pretty canned responses about clearing cache and stuff. I've long since cleared all caches several times, reinstalled the game, tried reinstalling again to a different drive, everything.
It's an obvious change made in one of the recent patches that caused this.
System Specs as follows: Core i7 860 EVGA P55 SLI 8Gb DDR3 2x Radeon HD 5870 (Crossfire mode) Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
My problem is exactly as you described and I've used the exact same steps to attempt to correct it and all clearing cache does is make different boxes go black while existing black ones become "fixed" and work right again for no apparent reason.
This is obviously an Eve Online only issue, I have a MASSIVE gaming library and all of it runs flawlessly as did Eve before the recent patch screwed stuff up.

WOOHOO!!! Fixed! It's Catalyst 9.12 that's the problem. Uninstall Cat 9.12, install Cat 9.11, clear game cache, and viola! All fixed. All icons working fine. Reporting the issue to both CCP and ATI now.

Yeah I have the same issue seems that the latest catalyst drivers 9.12 have buggered something up. They have released a hotfix but no mention of the EVE issue nor has it fixed it lets hope they do something soon.

When I logged on today, it appear that my cache is cleaned or something. The bookmark folders have been deleted (I didn't do it). Been a long time since I have seen something like this. I wonder if this is accidentally, because of a crash I had the last time I logged out.
