So i finally made it to lvl 2 missions. I decide to up the ante and get missions from a lvl 2-19 agent. Not quite getting it and feeling very nubish I go for broke and trigger many waves of overwhelming force, ( Cruisers, Destroyers, Frigs ) I lose my boat ( HogVex 3) . It's 2:30 in the Ack Emma, So what do I do? That's right. Take the Insurance, Purchase & re-fitt a new Ship ( HogVex4). I lose my tank (forgot Cap Boost charges), My machine chuggs, and I'm warping in a Pod. I freak , grap a Catalyst I've got lying around and go for a speed /salvage run-I need the stuff from my 2 wrecks. Warp in , Blow up and go home-Almost made it. Now it's around 3:30 and I sell everything I got ( Forgot to insure the second Vexor). Buy another boat ( HogVex 5), fit it for salvage warp in, Can't get in range of the wrecks( Stasis Tower.Boom, podding home. On closer examination I find that the agent is actually a lvl 3-19 agent. I sat there, wondering what the hell just happened. I hate gaming badly. I really do. At least when I game badly, I game EXTREMELY badly. Gaming past limits, not paying attention, being a tool, Did I miss anything?

Look on the bright side of things. You lost some cruisers, and only some cruisers. You may have to backtrack to L1 or mine a little or fleet up and tackle a L4 for isk if you lost *every* combat capable ship, but all in all you're not out too badly. Just remember to look more carefully at what you're getting into, and you'll turn out all right.

you missed the part where looting your wreck is completely safe if you bookmark the area (while in a pod) and then turn in the mission (fail it). All the enemy ships disappear- scoop your wrecks and your good to go.

You missed the part about missile boats wtfbbqpwning everything PvE like nobody's business.

Not perfect, but close. There are missions with the same name from level 1-4, so you could read up on the level 2 difficulty mission but actually be doing the level 3 difficulty mission.
On a side note: If you read this and are in the Jita area, I'd be happy to let you tag along on a level 4 and salvage/loot to get enough to buy yourself a new Vexor. Just send me an in game convo.

if you aren't in a player corp, send me a convo in game. Could help you out and push you in the right direction, or over the edge, whichever comes first. Most folk who fall over the edge end up turning into insane pvprs with nothing but a blood, errrr..podlust yeah, and a need to see shiny things explode. |
