I am looking for information in hidden belts in 00 connected to the Dominion sov and upgrade system. I will share what I know as a miner has been to index level two, but would love others to add information about levels 3-5.
1. The Industry index will fall by approximately 1% per hour whilst nobody is mining. 2. At level 1 a solo miner in a hulk can reverse this so the index rises by 1% per hour. At level 0 this goes up faster, at level 2 it rises slower. 3. Ore prospecting arrays come into play at downtime. If they are online at downtime, you get one hidden belt per upgrade. These hidden belts improve in quality, so the level 2 belt has more rare ore than the level 1 belt. At level 2 you get 1 lvl 1 belt and 1 lvl 2 belt. 4.Belts remain for three days and then the exact same re-spawn somewhere else filled back up with minerals. 5. If your industry level drops down to the next level, the belt for that level disappears either instantly or as soon as everybody warps out. It does not wait for downtime. 6. The level 1 belt is a ôsmall asteroid clusterö it has every ore in the game except Mercoxit, including sizeable quantities of arkoror, bistot and crokite plus a VERY large Spodumain roid (if you mined it all it would fill 4-5 freighters and it looks the size of a station). 7. The level 2 belt is a ômoderate asteroid clusterö. This includes the same mix of ores but has more of the high end ores like ABC. It has one mercoxit roid with 100,000 units in it.
That's all I've got so far. Can anybody can provide information about levels 3-5?

From what I have read, the belt should despawn and then respawn after a brief interval if completely mined (second hand info from a Dev post in the Test Server forum).
I would like to add a question: - NPC spawns normally in those the exploration belts? or, like other exploration belts the spawn rate is very reduced?

Rat spawn exactly like any normal belt in system from what I can tell. I've had every type of spawn including true sansha! Also I've had rats warp from an ordinary belt to hidden belt and vice versa, as they do in normal belts.
In regards to belts respawning if fully mined. I have never even got close to testing this. If you do manage to empty your belts within the three days, you will have unlocked the next level or two so would be better off mining in your new belts instead of mining ridiculous amounts of spodumain to kill that huge roid off! - Still thanks for info.

The -1% per hour isn't really true, maybe it's based on level cause we've had it drop 20-30% in an 8 hour period with multiple people mining during, seems broken.
Belts instantly respawn when they're 100% cleared (tested on a large belt)
Also where is this 100k merx rock? I've only see 10ks in meds, 10k in large, 15k in xlarge.
With the decay rate as it is I don't see how it's ever possible to get to lvl 5 because it'll be gone by the time downtime rolls around.

Whoa, wait, industry upgrade = bonus ratting upgrade?!
Are the rats spawning in the hidden belts of a commiserate value to the belt rats in the system? Do they continually spawn during the sites lifetime? __________________________________________

they're pretty good spawns actually, and include officers (1 time) and a few hauler spawns. But it's not really a bonus ratting upgrade because the respawn time is incredibly long sometimes, been mining in one for over 2 hours without a respawn ;p

So they work like "normal" gravimetric exploration sites, they spawn NPC at a lowered speed.
Still they add a bit of ratting space.
Interesting and thank for the info.

Learn how rat spawns work guys.
it's not always a random spawn... it's often a warp in from a non-hidden belt in the system or from one of the off grid sites that CCP has made rats warp to as well. The rate at which rats warp between belts has increased in recent patches. You get the same type of rats you get in all other belts and you also get the same rats from your regular belt warping to this hidden belt. Eve treats it just like a regular belt as regards rat warps/respawns. Eve also apparently has a hidden "true sec" for each individual belt just as it has one for systems, and I haven't yet been able to identify how the hidden "true" sec of the hidden belts compares to regular belts.

Sorry, my mistake, its 10k not 100k. I'll edit original post. Can you give us any more details of the large and x-large sites? I assume these are lvl 3 and 4?

yes
large has 1 asteroid of each type (instead of them being spread out) like 40k ark and stuff. 10k merx.
Xlarge has 50k ark or so, and around that much bistot, and something like 70k crokite. 15k merx. All the roids are spread out like a med belt though (cept for the merx which is one rock)

Thanks for the info.
Some more information I picked up in another thread was that according to a dev blog, the index goes up with hacking of radar sites. We have found this to be the case in our system and it seems to be that you cannot reach level 3 without some hacking and even maintaining level 2 is hard. With radar sites being regularly hacked and scanned, however, two or three hulks can push the index up reasonably quickly towards level three - we hope to get there soon!

I heard a rumor that the level 5 belt has ONLY ABC and Mercoxit. Is this true?
