Hi,
I'm looking into raising my standing towards a faction, and was wondering if missioning is the best way?
Question that rise are:
- The boost you get on storylines. Are they the same for lvl2's as for lvl4's? Is there any point in gaining agent quality to do lvl4's?
- Are Caldari still the best way to do missions? This toon havent specialized yet.
Thanks

You get more standings for higher level storylines than for lower level ones.
Except that "Materials for War Preparation" one, which gets hardly any.
Level 4 storylines have the highest potential faction gains (some will give 8.75% depending on skills), but the time taken to do the 16 lvl4 missions to get those storylines will make a difference. Doing lvl4 courier missions to get storylines can be done a lot quicker, but is rather boring.
If you can't stomach courier missions, Level3 missions will get you storylines much faster, They won't necessarily be as high (6% is about as high as they get), but you get through them a lot quicker.
You can also look into the odd missions like the datacenters, or FW (each rank you get gives faction standings)
Yes. Yes, I am. |

Good point. In the end, missions are just as boring.. It's really just all about gaining status as fast as possible for me.
Courier missions is also a new aspect in Eve for me, so thats 'fun' :)

Am I right in saying you could do 14-15 lvl 3 missions and then switch to a level 4 mission for the last 1-2 and get given a Lvl 4 storyline?
I'd heard that it was the level of the 'trigger mission' that determined the level of mission you got for your storyline. If that's the case, you can smash through the lvl 3's quickly and hop onto lvl 4's with some careful counting to get most efficient increases for time invested.

Time wise its most efficient to drop by a few datacenter's and handover a few tags. Cost efficient that probably aint . And you need to have some standing with the agents there. But it can give you a real boost! An main of mine went last week from -2 with Amarr to +2.5~ish.

negative. storylines are gained after 16 missions for same faction and level. 16 L3 missions will award L3 storyline. 16 L4 missions will award L4 storyline.
