Hey guys I'm new to Eve. I have played a bunch of free mmorpgs and a lily wow but it didn't hold me over. I'm really big into pvp but haven't did it much cause of loss of interest in game before I gotten to end. I have been playing for 1 month and I'm minmatar. I like exploring so far..basically I'm asking how long will it be before I can pvp...if I just shoot for that..I'm also finding it hard to meet people and make friends to help and do things..might sound a bit gay but a good community and cool people to play alongside makes a game 10 times more enjoyabe. Any tips or advice would be appreciate

How long before you can PVP? How long would it take you to log in, fit up a ship, and head into lowsec/0.0?
Anyway, the recruitment forum was linked above. Look around, or make a post detailing what you're looking for. Of course, meet with and talk to the people you're joining before actually joining.
Faction warfare (Racial militias) are a great place to learn to PVP. You can join the basic militia at first, but if eventually I'd look into going beyond FW or joining one of the dedicated FW corps.

Have you trained Propulsion Jamming to 1? Then you can PvP. Get out there in a Rifter and go to work. Your best bet will probably be to find a gang and play tackler at first. FW is possible, just be aware it will bork up your standings with the Amarr and Caldari. I'd consider giving Red vs. Blue a go if you wanna jump into some PvP. They're very laid-back about it and will be generally helpful. If you can get the ISK together, consider taking a PvP Basic class from Agony.

Red vs. Blue is two corporations in a permanent consentual wardec exclusively for people that wanna get into drama-free cheapship small-group PvP, mostly frigate and cruiser gangs, and avoid the station-camping BS and RR/ECM **** that's so common in other PvP. They also do 'purple ops' when everyone gangs up together and heads off somewhere on a roam in lo/nosec.
You can freely come and go from it as you wish. A number of people have alts in them just to screw around when the mood strikes them.
