i'm guessing another 30 minutes at least. we got no warning so apparently nobody knew it was coming (not even ccp) so atm they are slamming coffee to sober up from the weekend, and trying to resolve the hamster issue. |

It certainly wasn't a clean shutdown.
It smelled like a failure cascade, with some far backend thingy dying first, then requests for it queuing up until it overflowed, breaking requests that wouldn't normally depend on the original failing thingy.
Some chunks of it even tried to restart and recover on their own, at least until someone truly pulled the plug on it all.
So uh.. uneducated guesses here:
- It might take a while for things to recover.
- Eve might have some short-term amnesia for things that happened immediately before the crash.
*edit: half of my guesses were not horribly wrong.

I think CCP should invert the phase polarity of the tractor beam and feed it back through the reflector dish. Last time that was done it got the server up in like 0.25 seconds flat and everybody got free Titans. Man, that totally roxxored. YYMV.

Almost everytime the server has a "Special moment " or " Comes around the mountain" I end up loosing my drones when the lights come back on.

Is it simple coincidence that I was doing the Buzz Kill mission, which was a buzz kill in every way. Right when I was about to get the last shot on the last insanely annoying frig, the game dies. I'm just glad I got my drones in before it tanked.
