It was fast, it was sweet, it was fun.. It was.. a roadtrip.
With us, we will take sweet memories of the support fleet battles in B-VP, the massacre of 1L, and the HLW rampages, Flatliner wishes to convey that he has opened up a brand new Corpse Strokers Bar for all those who need to relax after this bloody journey.
Curse has learnt a few new names, and seen a couple of old ones. We have seen a couple of old favourites, and a looooooooooad of new ones. They all blow up.
Some day, we will take another roadtrip. Maybe to Curse gain, or, somwhere else. YOU dont know, we do.
CA has matured. CA has evolved. CA is still full of targets that we left behind, and we give with a warm heart to our friends in ATUK to take care of. We leave, content with the trip, and that we have shown CA that we have not grown lazy nor fat and we by no means are easy prey.

for the last 3 hours looking for easy ganks.

We were waiting for you to run out of soft targets so that you might actually consider facing the CA military head on. I guess that's not going to happen now. The only Evol I got to kill were ganks, which while fun isn't really the same thing as a head-to-head wtfpwning. I think you did engage some of the newer CA inductee corps successfully, but you always seemed to manage to avoid the main fleet.
I think I speak for all of CA's core PvPers when I say this is a disappointing development. However good luck with your move back north, and props for at least having the balls to come down in the first place. Come back soon y'hear.

It's not our problem if you have soft targets. And yes, we did this for our entertainment, not yours.

indeed mark. (my personal opinion) i think that Evol would lose if they went against a core CA pvp fleet, and since they began to run out of easy ganks they left. Personally i think the fraps is going to be pretty stupid because ganks is all its gonna be but meh whatever...
please come back and fight the core CA PvP fleet.

I am still startled when I read these forums at the amazinig and frankly ludicrous assumtion that avoiding battles you cant win and fighting those you can is somehow bad.
Engaging the enemy when you have the advantage is the core of any stratagy in any game.

I am still startled when I read these forums at the amazinig and frankly ludicrous assumtion that avoiding battles you cant win and fighting those you can is somehow bad.

We chased down Evol on many occassions, with approximately equal numbers and frequently using frigs/cruisers only, but they chose not to engage. Perhaps it was just coincidence they only got single kills, as did we of course.
BTW By "core fleet" I mean OC/Zoners/7THSC (now Supremacy), VOTF, Shinra, Black Reign, Black Omega, M. Corp, Corp 1, etc. all of whom make scant appearance on the BoB killboard (apart from again a few careless ganks). Personally I was involved in a couple of Evol bship kills and Faramir's Deimos (elite thorax), for no losses. I did lose a couple of cruisers this week, but that was to SA.
An alliance as big as CA is obviously going to have a lot of people who are a little careless with moving their battleships around, and Evol did an efficient job of thinning their numbers.
If this is what amuses them then great, but turning out to be "ATUK Lite" doesn't exactly enhance their reputation. Frankly SA put up a much better fight this week.

Sad to see after all the "lets instead enjoy the game and not smack" posts from lall and the other mature CA posters the chestboosters and smack kids took over again.
Why cant you admit you had a good time, took losses, had some good battles and rest with it?

This was a kamikaze attack with frigs and cruisers on your full fleet of battleships and support craft. It was the only way to actually get a fight out of you guys. It was not a gank, it was our jumping in on your fleet trying to inflict some losses.

With the use of a database that support ingame killmails, no errors should be present. But if you add kills manually by typing I bet a lot of "errors" will occur....

Ok, I wasnt gonna flame, but, you are right on one thing: you are indeed a newb. As for not engaging your BS, I remember we killed a VOTF scorp in HLW today with gang of 9 while local was at 36. I was the only bob bs in HLW, and we had total of 3 bs. You had more than that in HLW alone.
Not our fault you choose to run around in frig/cruisers and not risk anything. I mean, cmon, Zelota in cruiser, Xirtam in moa, etc etc. If that aint your pvp core that I sure as hell don't know who is.
Anyway, it was great fun, fighting CA is 100 times better then PA since you guys actually do fight, and that was what this roadtrip was all about. As for b-vip being your "nubs", well it was Mercenary Forces mainly, so I would consider that unfair statement about them, since they have been around, no?

We killed easily more than TWICE(yes TWICE) of what we lost down in curse.CA can spout whatever excuses they like to make themselves feel beter.
Would love to see the 1337 CA pvpers come up north and match what we did in curse over the last week.

My memory serves me very well. The same thing happened last time M0velAtuk came for a visit. A few n00b ganks and 0 (zero) show of force against a CA fleet.

In defence of the CA people posting their objections, this post started with smack from SirMolle. The whole original post degrades CA and this is the 'flame bait' which gets the CA members incensed.
I believe the EVE community as a whole is sick of a lot of these posts and i have a lot of respect for all the groups out there that go on very succesful and bloody 'roadtrips' yet do not feel the need to brag about it and create flame wars on the forums.
I myself am extremely grateful that the majority of BoB has left CA space, why? Because now the amount of smack posts regarding CA and the CA regions will reduce substantially. Unfortunately the 'smack' will simply move to whichever region BoB now chooses to visit.
I would like to see if it is possible for BoB to have a 'roadtrip' without inciting the natives and creating 'forum wars' full of smack. Is this possible? Yes it is as can be seen by the corps operating out there that have done so in the past and continue to do so.
The benefits to BoB by doing this? Respect from the EVE community, something I am sure they crave.

On our first night back us and SA had a massive FLEET battle in HLW.

Again it was ATUK and SA, this time you got spanked even harder and lost approx 10 BS to 1 CLS loss. It was a horrific defeat and even The Enslaver held his hands up and said 'we got beat, bad'.
CA have some really good players and some really mature ones. Lallente and Tholarim are prime examples (although Lall still uses this 'CA fleet are unbeatable thing' but thats understandable as its a pretty well organised fleet most of the time) of people with a clue.
Tholarim and Lallente both realised that these huge scale fights are lagathons and said something about operating in smaller forces and we seemed to be going in right direction.
Yet you are still flying round in groups of 40 frigs and cruisers and wondering why you only get a couple of large fights week.
Quit with this 'no one will fight our undefeatable fleet' because TWICE in the space of a week , WE jumped into YOU in your home system and schooled you , k
Honestly I dont know how half of the CA can put up with the others. I know you get a mixture even in a corp but some of the CA a$$hats shown in this thread would be enough to make me question why good corps like Shinra stick around
So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

was great fun, a display of great tactics,and great respect for eachother from both parts involved...just one point of view (personal, take it for what's worth): CA isn't the only one who evolved,Evolution did too: the first time you payed us a visit, roughly one year ago, you had less numbers and I saw a lot of smacktalk(from both parts, admittedly), in this "roadtrip" I've seen a large group of true fighters with a wonderful teamplay and the spirit of warriors...my only regret is related to the damn lag that seems to haunt us (all) lately
for the rest I exchanged few ships for a lot of fun,definitely a bargain

I didn't expect you guys to leave so soon, allthough i kinda could have seen it comming in the last 2 days i guess. Yep you killed more then us, which i hope any attacking force does in eve, since attacking gives an advantage. I only hope that the guys in CA that got ganked left and right (the bs's flying solo) learn from it and won't do it next time, this way we should be stronger for the next round.
I also agree that it's a shame we didn't have a large fleet fight, but i guess that can wait for shiva .

In conclusion: CA did better than anyone else BoB has fought. Both sides have fun, BoB having a clear advantage in kills. In terms of losses per corp, CA won, in terms of Kills per corp, BoB easily won, etc etc etc...

Sorry I missed out on the fun. But I had a RL Crisis to deal with over the last couple of weeks. What a refreshing take on PVP in eve. Glad that both sides had fun, and that some new respect was born for both sides. I think that the majority of the corps in CA think as BoB does as in Its all about PVP.

I've been pretty inactive in EVE for months now. Lack of interest in the game itself. Lack of time due to job and gf. And someone has to play all the other flashy games out there too.
Unfortunately I forgot to cancel my account last week so I'm in for another 3 months of EVE where the only activity of mine will be the occasional board trolling, and I wont drag Xanadu's name down with me.
I am still part of the community and I'm meeting Scorpio, Sastul and Atul for dinner in about 3 hours.
I always fantasized about the stuff I could publish when I decide to quit EVE. All the intrigues, plotts, hilarious logs, etc... Well... let's see if I can be arsed.

I am still part of the community and I'm meeting Scorpio, Sastul and Atul for dinner in about 3 hours.
I always fantasized about the stuff I could publish when I decide to quit EVE. All the intrigues, plotts, hilarious logs, etc... Well... let's see if I can be arsed.
Just don't go back to Planetarion, k? :D

Actually, it isn't really a refreshing take on PvP. This is pretty much how CA and SA have been playing the game for the last six months. It's just that you guys are so far out in the boondocks you never got to find out before now.

Actually, it isn't really a refreshing take on PvP. This is pretty much how CA and SA have been playing the game for the last six months. It's just that you guys are so far out in the boondocks you never got to find out before now.

3 days i tagged along with the core pvp CA units were moving around through CA space waiting for BoB and in particular Evolution to come out and fight. 3 days we have seen a weak performance, and it isnt strange others give up to fight you because you avoid every confrontation that could even pose a small threath.
Day 1 i tagged along: evolution sat in a system, blobbed up and waited for SA to come and team up.
Day 2 i tagged along: CA fleet moved into d87 or one of the systems attached to HLW, and the whole fleet safespotted.
Day 3 i tagged along: SUPREMACY fleet went into Stain alliance because we were bored by the cowardice tactics of Evolution and after the night finished a force of some Stain and ATUK (i asume ATUK is still bob) moved down heading to DSS which we just left. We moved into the system they were in and found the fleet safespotted...
Im not that active these days anymore, but the general sound with the people in CA i know is that the little bit of respect some had for bob members is gone. Welcome to the majority guys!
