I am not a total newbie but I have just run into something that I do not know if it a BUG or someone has stolen a TON of my stuff from a station.
Can another player just arrive at a station and access other players goods?

Nobody can take stuff out of your personal hangar except yourself. Maybe you should do some investigation. Check whether you moved / contracted / sold / gave away stuff. Stuff in cargo space or containers don't show up in assets unless you view the contents. File a petition if you still can't find a trail.
You might also want to change your password.

I do not think someone has obtained my PW but will change anyway. I did not think anyone could steal so I have to suspect a problem with Eve's DB. Will open an issue and see what they sa.

I know I am the right station because I store ships there as well and they seem OK. I also have a couple of secured containers which still have their goods. I had also just bought some VERY expensive items.

As a mainly mission runner I am in one of the NPC Corp's. I assume another NPC Corp member cannot grab goods. Also if someone wanted to steal I have several BS/BC/CR ships that are worth more.
I have opened a petition but since it does not involve monetary penalty to EVE I expect I will get a reply sometime in 2011/2012/2013.

I'd download one of the offline Asset managers and do a search - jEveAssets or EveHQ are my favourites (and google will find them for you).
It could be that you bought some things remotely and they're sitting in another station. You could also just use the in-game assets tab, but the off-line asset managers are way more powerful if you have a lot of stuff.

I keep a good track of my goods using eve-commander.com since it is web based. Also I use one station as y central storage site so I know where they should have been I did just take a look at EveHq and it looks COOL. Thanks.
