I've noticed that killing a pod doesn't confer kill rights to the victim? So, if I suicide someone's pod in hi-sec they don't get the right to come after me.
Is this working as intended?

You are aware that pod killing in hi-sec will result in -10 standing loss and being kicke out of hi-sec for long time?

No it doesn't. I podded a guy in highsec last week and only went from 2.(something) to just barely below 0 on sec status.

yep it was more like 17% sec status loss, but, in one case the pod was in an NPC corp, and it resulted in a -42% standings hit from that corp which could mean you can't dock in their stations any more.

eh, what? I'm a full -10 with state protectorate from podding them repeatedly and I am fully able to dock in their stations.

my bad... thought I read somethign about standing -5 with npc's denying docking rights - is that maybe only for faction standing, or did I just imagine the whole thing.
Regardless, the original thread is about podkilling not giving the victim kill rights - anyone have an idea as to why this is the case?

I'm not totally up on all of the mechanics, but I know the sec loss is related to the difference between the attacker and victim and has to do with system sec status too. I can confirm that you can dock right after podding if you're in a pod. You pretty much get a pass from concord if you're in a pod.

You guys must just be getting lucky or something. I suicide podded someone with smartbombs the other day and went from -1.4 to -4.9.
