I just finished running the two pirate epic arcs and I must say i haven't had this much fun in a mission.. well.. ever. Both were very well done and I hope to see many more like them in the future.
That being said I have some general comments to make about them and then I will break each one down for ppl that are intrested.
The good: -Great scripting -Great rewards -Good balance for small fast ships -getting to blow up a carrier!
Some improvemnts I would love to see: -The choices didn't not feel like they made much diffrence in the overall outcome of the story line and the rewards/risk for both choices seemed equal at all times often times I found myself choosing at random cause I could not see any diffrence between choices.
-The popups from the agents mid mission got annoying at times. I suggest a way to place where the popup apears rather then just mid screen. Also voice acting would help alot in this department as trying to read while NPCs are shooting you is not pleasent.
-Very short. I want more!
__arc break downs__ Angels: Rewards: ~450M (250m ship, 125m target painter, 50-75m bounties/rewards) Time: ~4Hours Risk: The mission is about 4 jumps out from low space. Then it has you flying around 4-6 jumps between missions. Ran into a few warp bubbles on the way and almost lost an interceptor to one when I forgot to switch between afterburner to microwarp when traveling between mission spots.
Guristas: Rewards: ~215M (125m ship, 15m ecm, 75m bounties/rewards) Time: ~5Hours Risk: Much higher then the angel arc. Missions are a good 10-15 jumps from low sec. Quite a few more bubbles as well because you are traveling throught player owned space. Lost an interceptor, shuttle and got podded finishing this arc. If feel like the rewards for the gurista arc should be better then the angel arc however it's the other way around which I found odd.

thanks for the update, well done, I myself don't entirely see the worht in doing the missions to be honest, unless your alliance/corp owns the space the missions are in, the risk doesnt seem worth the reward to me. Angels of Death EVE Corporation is Recruiting New and Old Pilots!!! |

I think the mission locations in low/null sec provide some excellent learning experiences. I've lost an AF and have been podded, so the tuition is not cheap.
The rewards offset the losses, and in contrast to hi-sec missions, require more time and effort planning and being very careful when travelling to the mission sites.
If one of the objectives is to give Empire dwellers a taste of the wild side of Eve, that certainly has been accomplished.
I doubt if I'll ever want to mission in low/null sec, but conducting operations in those areas has become less daunting and more intriguing.
