Hello Pilots,
I have EVE installed and working on main desktop. I want it installed on my second computer (laptop).
Can I just copy the CCP folder and paste it in the same location as the main computer on my second computer?
I need to do this because downloading another 2.4GB-5GB is not possible due to my countries sorry internet plans (aka money hungry mofo's)

You dont even have to put it in the same location on the other PC.
You might have your original in c:\Program Files\CCP, and you can copy it to D:\CCP and it will run just fine.

OP said SECOND COMPUTER not second client or second drive.
No copying won't work. It doesn't perform the same actions as installing and won't run.

IUt is perfectly fine to copy and paste the C:\Program Files(x86)\CCP\ folder and place it anywhere. The EVe client is dynamic in that it doesn't rely on registry keys and all appdata files are created at launch if they aren't found.

Adehlea and Lork Niffle are right. You can put the eve folder on a flash drive if you want and plug it into any pc you want and play. Your settings just won't follow you. You can keep a copy of those on the drive too though, and after initial launch close eve then copy your existing settings to the appropriate folder.

As above Lork and co are correct, just one thing to add is before starting the client change into the \eve\Bin\DirectX and run DXSETUP to install any dll's needed.
If you copy over your settings folder from your old PC don't copy the prefs.ini file as that contains settings for your old PC, Eve will make a new one for the new laptop so don't worry.
