Revan Neferis Amarr The Archaeus of Blood	Posted - 2009.12.29 21:42:00 - [1] Following the Tradition of our celebratory games: death or glory - auctoramentum gladiatorium reported by ISD Zachary Zain \| 2008.04.11 16:38:31 I have the pleasure to announce the Auctoramentum Gladiatorium II - This edition in honour of our Empress Jamyl I. Welcome to the holder's championships: Dedication by Combat! This is a call to all true Amarr loyal to the House of Sarum. And a call to Matari Pilots who serve the Amarr. Stand and be counted in a combat of blood to venerate Sarum and showcase the prowess of your people. This year's event will present the following format: There will be ten combatants, all must be of Matari Blood. And all must be sponsored by A True Amarr of pure Blood who will present the Matari combatant as his champion to fight in honour of our Empress, in the name of his house. All will fight simultaneously in a ritual of violence and bloodsheed befitting the faith and the warlike nature of the House of Sarum. This is not a duel, Ten Matari enter, one Matari leaves. That surviving Matar will then face my champion in final battle, win or loose the Blood of Honour will have been satisfied. This year also each will fly only an Amarrian base cruiser of their choices and fit with only the most base rank 1 modules. The Dedication by Combat shall be a test of skill, not a test of wallet. With mostly equal footing the choices made in the melee will lead to victory or failure based almost solely upon oneÆs quick wits. You will not be able to warp out, you will not be able to burn away and out wait your opponents like some vulture hoping to scrounge. You must fight and die! The Winner, the Matari warrior who survives the battle royal, will receive the New faction Navy Armageddon in honour of his Amarrian Sponsor. All contestants will receive an Elite Slave who carries a case containing 10 million isk as an entry prize and repayment for the loss of your cruiser as well as the fame of being a valiant gladiator and icon for the Matari People in dedication to Sarum. My Capsuleer Slave Demon Nuzzle will be assisting and running this event. As my champion, representing House Neferis and servant, she has my complete and full blessings to proceed as she sees fit. Heed her on the day of, for she is the Slave of Wrath! The CVA, has graciously provided a venue for a Dedication by Combat. At 20:00 EVE Standard Time Wednesday January 13th ((PST = 12:00noon Wednesday / GMT 8:00pm Wednesday etcà)) The MeleeÆs location will be disclosed upon arrival to the Y-MPWL system. To review: 1. Loyal Matari only, Sponsored by a Sarumite True Amarr. IGS post here and Eve mail request to participate 2. Combat in any Amarrian basic cruisers (Maller, Omen, Augoror or Arbitrator) 3. All Modules or Rigs will be Basic tech 1 (no named mods) 4. No Boosters 5. It is a Melee, not a duel, once the start is called everyone battles 6. Warping out is an automatic disqualification 7. Going further that 100km from the Center Marker is an automatic disqualification 8. Last man standing wins, and then faces my champion Demon Nuzzle. 9. Prize 1 Armageddon Navy Issue + 10 Million isk to all participants. As usual, VIP guests are invited to join us and celebrate the festivities. My slave stables hold only gladiator slaves capable of conventional arena combat. Your concept inspires me to host a match using more mundane slaves one day soon. But I won't distract from the current subject by going too far into that. Alas, none of my gladiators is trained or even biologically capable of becoming a pod pilot. But if it succeeds I'll make it as an annual ritualistic game for Sani Sabik faith. And I'll double the prizes each year." Last time the prize was a billion isk, and you said that next time it would be twice that... but... checking contracts, Navy 'geddons are well below a billion. And no Ashimmus being passed out this time either. And it's been two years, so shouldn't this time be four billion instead of less than one? Should one presume from this that the Sani Sabrik faith... isn't quite as strong as you'd hoped? I mean it's kinda underwhelming; T1 cruisers and then fighting against someone with no combat record in the last year and a half for the prize of a single battleship.

Many who may not yet see the advantages and splendour for recognizing Jamyl I and House of Sarum as the rightful ruler over New Eden, may change their minds by participating and seeing events as such from a priviledged position. We shouldn't isolate our enemies but give them the chance to see what we represent. This said, the list will comprise names of pilots who are known to me personally. It's her not him. She is running the practical sides of the event so take your claims with her. On a side note, I haven't requested the event to be hosted in Providence, I was communicated so. I accepted in respect for Garreck, who were seeking me proposing friendly relations. Now. If CVA sees fit to disrupt the event made in Honour Sarum And the Empress hosted by me, nominated Sarumite by the Empress herself, I will consider this an open declaration that CVA is against the current Empress. Your choice. If the event will not be hosted in Providence we will relocate it to Sarum Prime as it was my original desire. And we will change rules of engagement by delaying a bit the combats just to make sure each combatant will receive Concord authorization to shoot their gladiators. That will be the only change.
