I'm an Alt. If you don't really know what that means then the Meinertzhagen-Nobunaga Mining Research Institute might be the corporation for you.
This corporation is intended to be a first corp after basic training for new players, and is not a final destination for most players.
Trial accounts are welcome.
If you have more than 500,000 skill points, we're probably not for you.
I'm on most of the time, so your time zone is not an issue.
MNMRI is both small and new. We intend to stay small, but not new.
The corporation is located in the Verge Vendor Region of Gallente space. It's a fairly small region, but there are a number of good places to mine, from Hi-sec to Low-sec, in easy reach of our HQ. Same with just about all levels and specialties of mission agents.
Things we teach: - Basic game features and usage. - Basic to advanced rock and ice mining techniques. - Use of mining and security drones. - Scouting for mining spots. - Hauling. - Mining security. - Salvaging. - High Sec ratting for fun and profit. - How and why to use Ventrilo. - Remedial scan probe usage. - Player pirate psychology. - How and why to efficiently increase your corporate standings. - How and why to use agent locators. - Skill training tools and do's and dont's. - Basic career path information. - Basic UI usage and customization. - Some common scams and how to avoid them. - Player strategies for when that nasty war dec arrives.
Homework may be assigned. :)
Rules: 1. Never steal from anyone under any circumstances. 2. Only shoot at can flippers under certain very rare circumstances. 3. Never shoot at a fellow corporation member under any circumstances. 4. Never intentionally get another corporation or alliance upset with yourself or MNMRI.
If you do any of these things, don't let me find out about it from someone else before you tell me about it. If you're honest with me, the damage can be minimized. Same thing with any other awkward situation you get into.
Nothing is mandatory except following the rules. Real life does intrude. However, if you go inactive and don't let me know for how long, you might find yourself outdoors.
There will ordinarily be one scheduled mining day per week. I say day because of the possibility of TZ issues. If you can't, or don't want to mine for the corporation that day, no big deal. Time and day of the week will be determined by what is convenient for the majority.
We can provide LOANS of corporate ships or corporate funds for needy people.
The bloodsucking accountants, (me) have forced a tax rate of 5% on us, and 25% of Corporate mining ops go directly to the the corporation. Personal mining op stuff is all yours.
We encourage mission running when you aren't mining, and can usually provide some support.
We have neither the knowledge nor the skills to teach PvP.
From personal experience, we have some limited knowledge of wormholes and POSes. We will be happy to share that information.
As I said, MNMRI is not a good choice for everyone, but we can provide a positive experience for new players interested in all aspects of mining. We will also provide letters of recommendation for 'graduates' (You leave when you feel like it.), on demand, and a few decorations are available for the outstanding.
If you have any questions, or would like to know how to apply, please EVE mail Meinertzhagen, who should be doing something that would make chatting inconvenient most of the time.
