I dont have access to an Orca at the moment and wondered if it would be possible to fit a remote repper or two on one. It might be interesting to be mining in my Hulk and then when attacked hit the reppers on the Orca. |

Remote repairers have no ship type restrictions: they can be fit on any ship, provided the ship has enough powergrid and CPU.
Whether or not you are creating a failfit, that's another question entirely. |

The problem with that is, if somebody is going to suicide on a hulk, the single rep you will land in-between the alpha and the following 2-3 salvos before concord intervenes will not really matter. Maybe if you have 3 reps going full time it would help, but that's crazy.
If I fit 2 large shield transporters (meta 4) on my Orca with average fitting skills and everything else turned off, I get around 50 seconds of capacitor life. Yes, I can boost it with mods which otherwise cripple my Orca's defenses or capabilities, but if you are going to that much trouble you might as well just invest in better tanking abilities for the hulk. |

I was thinking of putting two reppers on an orca and the link. Maybe I should just run the reppers on the tanked hulk and mine away until I see 4 or 5 bad guys come into the system. Maybe just running the reppers on a tanked hulk would make the gankers choose an easier target? |

WTB freighter that can fit remote reppers.
Whether or not you are creating a failpost, that's another question entirely. |

Freighters don't have enough PG or CPU to fit any remote rep module. Malcanis' Law: Any proposal justified on the basis that "it will benefit new players" is invariably to the greater advantage of older, richer players.

I think people are forgetting that shield transporters work immediately on activation. Leave them off until needed.

I would also recommend getting the orca pilot's Armored + Seige Warfare skills to lvl 4 if not already done |
