So I used a box time card, and then I got grounded...for a month. Is there any way to suspend my account temporarly so I don't lose my time? and if so, how? I read about it in the FAQ but they don't really tell you how to go about it.

If the time has already been applied to your account there is nothing that you can do to suspend your account early.
My suggest would be to set a long skill training. Sounds like now might be a good time to train Battleship V.

No, you cannot suspend it. You pay for game time in advance, and once it's applied your account is available for playing until that time expires; whether you log on or not doesn't matter.
Take advantage of it and train skills is pretty much the only thing you can do.

You most likely misunderstood what the FAQ meant - you were probably reading about the mechanics to stop recurring payments for an account (at which time the account does get suspended, but only after the whole allotted pre-paid time has expired). As everybody else pointed out, once game time is paid for or applied in any way, one can not "pause" the remaining time automatically, one never could - your only real option is to at least try to log in just enough to keep skilltraining going.

Guess that you haven't been in Eve long enough to learn that everything you do has consequences. Maybe next time you will learn not to get grounded, especially for a month. ------------------------------------
