any ideas? when I first started playing I wanted to be a bounty hunter. with the bounty system not working as it should maybe a simple fix is all we can hope from CCP.
[simple fix idea #1]
special rig that you can turn on and off that allows you to gank anyone with a bounty, an silver star icon is shown when turned on to give pilots near by the heads up. To turn on the rig you must have a high security rating and the reason to turn it on is to give you immunity with Concord, aggression timers and not have any sec hits. Only a bounty hunter can collect any bounties. (in addition a sec hit to the victim for getting caught!} yarrr lets spice it up

i like it .
dunno about the rig tho , but im sure they could come up with something .
and deff will be nice to have another option but the boring missioning for those who are not intrested in that, like me.

To be a bounty hunter, you've got to go where the bad guys are bad. Move to low-sec and kill the guys you think need killin'. Sec status and bounties are kinda borked at the moment, and I haven't seen any evidence of a plan to fix them, so you just have to do it the hard way. The kill is easier than the bounty, of course. WIthout interdiction, the only real way to get pods is with smartbombs. Good luck!

Finding guys with big bounties is easy in low sec, the hard part is actually collecting it. Changing the bounty system won't effect that. Now it is borked, there is no denying that. I know people who put great effort into getting victims to add to their bounties so they can collect it themselves, but even they wait until it's 500M or more before they actually self pod. So with that in mind you could certainly make a very decent living in game as a bounty hunter, the only problem is those guys with big bounties are notoriously difficult to pod.
