1. Colossal secure container
- Volume: 120,000m^3
- Capacity: 156,000m^3
- Functionality: same as other secure containers
- Optional: can be placed in freighter cargo holds while assembled
Currently, it is possible (though extremely tedious) to get up to 30% extra cargo into a freighter, by loading it into several hundred giant secure containers and putting them into a courier contract. The package can then be moved in a freighter. The proposed container would vastly reduce the number of items and stacks involved, reducing DB load and sparing people hours of packing.
2. Small and medium general freight containers
- Volume = capacity: 30,000/60,000m^3
- Functionality: same as general freight containers
These would be useful for people wanting to split up cargo into lots of small packages without having to use a large number of contracts. --- 34.4:1 mineral compression |

= Less tedium opening and dragging stuff out of containers for efficient hauling. It would also probably reduce the amount database server interactions, which should make everyone happy.
Cargo containers should only be used for sorting items according to need/destination etc, the extra cargo space is just tedium inducing mouse work.

Ahh, but then I could (unless a bag of holding limit is placed with multiple instead of trying it once [ie. Only have 3 "stacked"]), with a bit of work mind you, freight vast sums of stuff in a dessie if I wanted to. Simply by just constantly stacking containers inside of each other. I also don't understand how it is possible a container can hold more stuff that it is. (ie, takes up 3 but holds 3.9k) I think someone fudged the numbers in programming

Feature: Cargo Organization Tabs
Idea: 10.000 m¦ Small Freight Container
To your idea: More Cargo for freighters, why?
It makes sense having a mid-class-freighter as a mobile mission HQ (carrying BS, BC, C, and some frigs with equipment), but even more would only end up in "now we have more, why not more more? or more more more?"
I like the idea that freighers may not use compression cargo containers as it is at the moment.

You cant place containers inside each other now to begin with. So your creative idea was null and void to begin with. I choose 25% cargospace increase instead of the 30% that cargo containers provide currently since you can almost never fill your whole cargo space with containers.
