I've been doing lv 4 missions for Gallente since 2006 and some time ago I stopped doing any missions that ****es off Amarr and Caldari for the most part. But that doesn't mean the standings with them are anywhere stellar at the moment.
I am able to have a lv 1 quality 15 Amarr agent with a standing of -1.46 or something. I saw that I need a standing of about 1.0 with Amarr to get a low quality lv 2 mission.
What I am wondering here is this: How long will it take me to get to 1.0, how many missions? And to double check, which skill will help decrease the negative standing towards either Factions as I want to make sure I'm not overlooking something I don't have yet.
I am flying a souped up Retribution with T2 rigs, deadspace mods, T2 beams, etc. So doing them fast wont be a problem for me.

Train Diplomacy. If you have none right now, level 4 will raise your -1.46 to 0.37.
Find someone with level 4 access to the corp you want, team up and do missions. This will improve your corp standing. No need to increase your faction standing because you are not locked out yet.

I already have Diplomacy to I think lv 3 or so. And aside from finding someone from a lv 4 mission, I am still curious about my questions in first place.

Well if I recall a long time ago I got from almost -2 to some of the best lvl 4 agent in day and half. That was for a certain Gallenete corp on an Amarr alt.
It will not be always that easy, recently getting Ammatar stadings from below zero to level 4 agent was worse but weekend is quite possible.
And please do not ask me why I do it. Probably trying to find some higher purpose in mission running.

you could go with khanids as well,maybe you get access to higher standing agents which will influence your amarr|caldari standing till you get access to what you want.
There are a couple stations in khanid space with up to 4 lvl1 to 2 agents,what I did back in the days was bming all missions and giving them to a local nOOb to loot which was happy.
I've been to min|gal 9.93 faction to caldari|amarr 9.93 faction and back and forth (wanted all 4 races frig|cruiser|BB 2 runs bpcs from cosmos agents,and got them)them realised I had tons of lps sitting unused,so had to gain back enough standing to take it out from min|gal--by working for soe--then went back to amarr|cald.
No wonder I'm burned from missions.

Search for Data Center and COSMOS, if you haven't done these already for Amarr. They will help raise you standings fairly fast, but may cost you a bit of ISK.

Originally datacentres gave good standings. Now they are tiny standings for the isk spent. Much like materials for war prep lvl 4 gives like 0.68% standings when I last did while a full 8.75% is possible from other lvl 4 storylines with max completion times.
As players have completed the datacentre missions quickly, the completion times have shrunk to similar lvls as materials for war prep and now give terrible standings gains. It wouldn't surprise me if some of the lvl 1 datacentre agents give standings down < 0.1% now and can cost 20 tags of 1 mil each. It will raise your standings slightly, but say 20 mil for ~ 0.1% standings increase - not exactly raising your stadingns much. Some tags cheaper, some more expensive. The more expensive have had less players complete them so have longer completion times. You can be paying like 5 mil a tag = 100 mil for 20 tags and a bit better standing increase!
