Question for the EVE community, as my experience with POS warfare is strictly in 0.0 and there are very different rules there.
Had a high-sec alt corp recently get war-dec'ed, and assuming they're able to RF the tower there, I am wondering what rules pertain to repping the tower once it comes out of RF. I have heard it is against game rules to use neutral alts (or players from my 0.0 ally, for instance) to rep the tower, and that you must use toons which are in the same corp/ally as the owner of the tower.
This makes sense given the rules of high-sec wars, but I am just curious to know what resources will actually be available to me.
Can anyone verify that is correct or drop some good knowledge on me from your experiences? Would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. :-)
edit: posting with my alt cuz I'm ghey like that, confirmed before anyone complains.

The mechanic of getting a neutral to remote rep a POS was never per se an exploit. The reason why it was declared to be an exploit was due to a failur of game mechanics.
In a normal ship vs ship fight in higsec (or anywhere) you can have neutrals remote rep a ship that is being attacked. However when they do this aggression is transferred to the repping ship from the one being attacked.
So if I am attacking you and your mate is repping you then the aggro is transferred to your mate and that allows me to shoot him.
This mechanic was not working for POS modules / towers, and because the repper was not taking aggro, and was not therefore a shootable target it was banned and listed as an exploit.
This mechanic has now been fixed. If you shoot a module that is being repped by a neutral then the repping ships will turn red and are shootable by you. I know this as this happened to my corp last night. It is no longer an exploiut.
Your mates can come and rep up your POS, but any doing so will be agressable to anyone that shoots the mod / tower they are repping. (Hope that made sense, little hard to explain).

Thanks for the response, Khul, and yes it makes perfect sense.
Essentially, I can rep the tower with toons who are not in the same corp/ally as the tower, and the war-dec'ing corp can also get a fight out of it too. Works for both sides, which is very nice.
Now, tbh, I'm hoping they do RF the tower. ;-)
Thanks again!

You forgot to mention that is a neut is repping the module being shot (yes he gets aggression and can be shot by the attacker) but that neut can not attack the attacker first he has to wait until the attacker shots him. If he shoots the attacker before the attacker shots him he get concorded. well this is from my experience in high sec wars any ways.
