So due to past idiocy i am -4.31 Caldari State, and while my individual standing with corps such as Caldari Navy is 7 due to running with corp mates, i cannot do anything past level 1 and the odd level 2 Caldari Navy missions alone. I presume my actual standing is something like 7-4.31 or something, as i cannot do level 3 or 4s, but can do most 1s and some level 2.
That musing aside, question is-
What is the swiftest way to repair my Faction standing? I have diplomacy trained (yes, it really is that low after diplomacy).

Do a lot of quests to caldari navy. Train Connections.

Meh, appreciate the response but doesn't solve the dilemma.
As mentioned i have diplomacy trained, connections will do nothing as it is *negative*.
Agents will not talk to me save for a scattered handful as it is -4 *with* diplomacy.
I have grinded out a couple of hundred level 3s and 4s with my corp mates that have barely budged it.
Is there an alternative?

Join a Squid FW corp and run plexes or missions. Get your State protectorate standing up; every whole number you get a promotion and every promotion will next a faction increase. Removed. Please keep your EVE signature related to your EVE persona and not that of a real life politician. Navigator |

I have same problem. but i have standing like -5,2 and with diplomacy at lvl3 around -3,6...still ill train diplomacy to lvl 5 and i hope it will boost me under -2.... i can do only lvl 1 but i still want to find at least lvl 2 agent...i have done around 100+ lvl1 mish and total gain was around 0,25 drop from bad standing...... cosmos missions are sadly in caldari space but you still need standing zero to make them.....
so only thing you can do is to do maybe 500 lvl 1 missions and maybe it will be enough..... good thing is that they are fast and easy......bad is that you need to do them for 2 weeks or so few hrs a day.......and dont accept missions against your faction. feel free to convo me in game.

As a trial, i loaded up my ishkur and speed ran 16 level 1s out of Motsu level 1 who will talk to me, i finally got a storyline for some corp, mercantile club or something, and after i did that, my Caldari State standings went from -4.33 to...
-4.31. At that rate, it'd take approximately 3,464 level 1 missions plus 216 storyline missions to just get to 0.
Gonna try the FW line as suggested, it can't possibly be that bad.

You don't have to get it to zero, just -2.
How is your standings with the Amarr? If you can do level 4s for them, the derived increase from them will be higher than doing level 1s with the Caldary.

it will boost randomly. one lvl 1 storyline boosted me 0,16.....thats not that bad at all :D
but it is looong trip to go....
3464 missions x 5 minutes each = approx 289 hours and thats like 12 days of nonstop playing :D
but your goal is to reach -2...then you can do lvl 3 maybe lvl 4, they will boost it almost instantly

-2 good point, much better... :)
Let this be a lesson boys and girls, don't neglect your Standings!
Amarr doesn't look quite so horrendous, might alternate between the two.
Thanks guys!

My problem is sorta simialar. i have -4.02 with Gallente from running alot of Amarr missions, but i need alot more Amarr rep to set up a POS. That -4.02 is with social skills all at lvl 4, unadjusted gallente rep is -6.7 something. Is there a way to fix Gallente rep so i will not become KOS without bringing down my amarr rep?? thax for any advice?
P.S. This would not have become a problem if a person running Amarr missions in Amarr space were not punished for killing Gallente NPC's that should not be in gallante space in the first place.

ammatar. its a magical place that fixes your caldari and amarr standing without hurting anything else. for those with bad gallente standings. might I suggest Sisters of Eve? it works but lacks the magic of the ammatar space. man...that space is so sweet. good agents. empty belts. empty local and empty low sec.... oh also khanid. but its more crowded.

Amatar space is too far from home, I thought i once heard that their is a place to turn in metals or tags that can be bought on the market which can improve faction standings that are negitive.

You don't get faction standings from regular missions; only storylines.
You don't get faction standings from storylines that are turned in by someone else. Fleet or not, you cannot raise faction standings unless the storyline is assigned to you.
The best way to get your faction standings up is use http://eve-agents.com/ to find a Caldarian storyline agent of a high-combat division. Here are the best down: Internal Security, Security, Command, and Surveillance. After Surveillance, the kill-mission rates drop sharply.
Do missions in the same system, or, preferably, in the same station as one of the storyline agents you find. Encounter missions boost your faction standing magnitudes faster than courier or trade missions.

I am going to assume this is correct and send you e-kisses and e-hugs. So sick of crappy storyline trade missions.
Thanks!

Data Center Edit: Don't know if the lvl 1 agents talk to you if you have negative standing.

Isaziwa is where I ground my Caldari standings back up. It took me 12 storyline missions (204 missions total) to get from -4.0 or so (after Diplomacy) to -2.00 (after Diplomacy) so I could run missions for higher level Caldari agents.

Edited by: wdqdqwdq on 09/01/2010 13:30:59 After 100s of missions and using data centres, am at -2.83, almost there!
And yes, Ahtulaima Data Centres work at any standing afaik, worked for me anyway

Just one more tip since others seem to be having same dramas as me-
Kamokor data agents work and add chunks, and next door Kakakela has FIVE level 1 agents AND a storyline dude. Can easily grind out 10 or 20% in a couple of hours.

Run the career missions in Caldari space. Missions are available in Akiainavas, Uitra and Jouvulen. They are the same in these 3 systems but you can run them anyway. Very easy and they are all storylines.

the data centers atleast fixed my gallente standing to -3.00 from -4.02. still will run into the problem again as long as my amarr agents have me kill intruding gallente npc's. in MHO i think it is stupid t get a negitive faction hit for killing fatction npc's whn they are not in thier own space.
