So, I'm minmitar. Say I want to fly a Gallente ship. If I train Gallente Frigate and stuff up, do I get the Gallente Frigate bonus and the Minmatar frigate bonus?

You get the bonus on the ship you fly to the level you train it, only pirate ships give dual bonuses afaik, standard racial ships don't give you the bonuses of skills not related to them.

From the (blah) frigate skill, you only get bonusses depending on what the specific frigate you're flying tells you you're getting. Normally, you get bonusses from ALL your skills, but the (blah) frigete skills don't give bonusses for having only the skill... They give BIG bonusses if you're flying a frigate to which it applies though.
So, in short, no. Unless you get one of the pirate frigates. But they're expensive.

To make is easy, no. There are no racial bonuses in Eve. You can crosstrain to your heart's content and it won't hurt you any at all.

Clearer still:
You only get the bonus that applies to the ship. Gallente frigate gets the Gal bonus, etc.,.
The only time you get mixed race bonuses is with a ship that states you get more than one race bonus, the so called pirate ships such as a Daredevil.
In EvE, your skills are not linked in any way with your birth faction. (Also, you don't need to only fly shuttles of your faction type, you can fly any shuttle.)

To be even clearer : other than your portrait, some minimal starter skills, starter tutorial agents, starter NPC corp and NPC corp you end up in when leaving a player corp, YOUR RACE//BLOODLINE IS IRRELEVANT, gameplay-wise.
Everybody can train every skillbook that can be purchased in the game eventually, and only your trained skill levels matter when determining any bonuses.
For everything that actually does matter in EVE (except maybe roleplaying), your "race" does NOT make any difference whatsoever.

Alright, thanks everyone. I've trained Amarr things now, so I understand this.
I feel like a traitor, Minmatar flying Amarr ships... ;)
