* Remove all cap modules and rigs. * Fit a Cap booster and use 800 charges (buy the BPO and make them from reprocessed mission loot). * Shield boost amplifiers only work when boosting. Replace with 4x hardeners.

Originally by: yani dumyat Another point on the cap boosters, a medium cap booster with 800's is a damn sight easier to fit than a heavy and as long as you start it running fairly early gives exactly the same end result.
Yes I know a heavy can inject cap charges faster due to less reloading but they both have the same limit, eg the cap charges in your hold.
I started with the T1 Meta 4 Heavy actually. It holds 4x 800 charges. The T2 Heavy is nice since it holds 5 charges. The rate of injection isn't as important as the capacity in my opinion; a single 800 charge is enough for 2 shield boost cycles.

Originally by: Dandrenn I think i know what it might have been now. I did a mission in a drake just now and started realizing how the mission i did had different groups you can aggro separately. What i did in the past was just right click on a ship i wanted to destroy in the overview without looking at the groups, and i'm sure this is what got me into trouble.
Yes, that will do it. I used to do the same in my Drake.
You will find that your Drake has a LOT more tank than a low skill Raven does. A Raven gets a lot of its tank from increased DPS.

Originally by: Dandrenn Yeah i read that site, eve survival on each mission and it tells me that one group won't aggro the other. I attack a few guys from that group and then they aggro the other 2 groups. Pretty soon i have 3 groups on me and the shield /cap is melting. The drake has ran these missions slower but without any issues whatsoever with any aggro.
Fire on one (1) ship in a group. See what targets you back; you are free to destroy those ships without getting another unlinked group.
EVE-Survival has not steered me wrong. Ever.

Originally by: Dandrenn how do you set your drones to passive for these types of missions
Right-click the small white triangle on the drone window, select Drone Settings, then select Passive.
I recommend mapping shortcuts for drone control. These are the ones I use: * ALT E = Engage * ALT R = Return and orbit * ALT B = Return to drone bay
