If so, I have found my next computer purchase.
I didn't think I could become more of a social recluse, but I must admit, if I had one of these, I might never leave the house at all............

"Old News" was pre-production market hype.
"New News" is that they start shipping on 11 january 2010. That's Monday morning.

No, because I'm never going to use monitor spanning in a game/video until they find a cost effective way to get rid of the separation between the monitor components.
Honestly I'm amazed that even made it to the shipping stage, seems like the type of thing that appears at CES and never actually rolls off the factory floor.

That's not actually edgeless.
Monitor spanning is ******ed. It makes more sense to simple make wider, curved monitors like This

Yep, those "edgeless" monitors will still leave a gap between the two when you place them side by side.
As far as that curved monitor goes, the difference in brightness between the two outer sections and the inner section would gnaw at my subconscious all day and ruin my ability to feel immersed.

I've seen those, not in production yet, and they could be taller, imo. I do love the concept though. Can't wait for them to hit real production and come in larger sizes.
I imagine my very own iMax game room....................

Edit: Half breaking filters for perfectly legitimate, and EXPECTED words for an internet spaceship game ftw.

EVE ships dont have c_ckpits, they have pods, so it is reasonable to ban the word

There are no ****pits in eve though. So its not Expected at all.
