Erm, I aquired a Hookbill and it is by far the best frigate I have ever used, but my corporation needs a PvPer to run escort for miners. So is there anyway to fit this Caldari ship for PvP? Hardeners, specialized rockets? Passive vs. Active sheild tank? Please tell me! ------------------------------------------------

A CN Hookbill will stop an attack on your miners, my suggestion would be contact your corp's FCs and see what they want as an escort.
This ship is excellent against any frigate in the game solo, and I have used it in frigate gangs before for very specific duties. I have been in a gang of 6 frigates before and taking down a solo NH, Using damps, Tps, webs, and scrams.

I haven't been able to find a good fit for it since before Dominion. You're really better off getting a Harpy or something similar. It'll be much easier to fit well.
If you were srs about using it, you're probably best off going for an MSE and rocket fit.

Are you the only escort for your corp? A hookbill would perform well vs other frigs but I fear you'd be powerless to deter a determined ganker in anything large.

A: Hookbills, like any other faction frigate, will smash any T1 frigates out roaming for easy kills... If you know how to fly them, they can give any frigate and some cruiser hulls a run for their money. You'll not stop a determined gank from anything bigger, and you'll lose an expensive piece of hardware, so if you're the only guard, think very hard about flying the hookbill. |

No, my escort team consists of 3 Cruisers, 5 other frigates and me =/. The rifter really has the EMF boat capabilities of the squad. ------------------------------------------------
