If the scorp cant jam the armageddon the armageddon will win.
But if the Scorp can jam and scramble the armageddon the Scorp will win if he is a gankeddon (scorp can be tanked if the arma has been fitted to tank)

If the scorp cant jam the armageddon the armageddon will win.
But if the Scorp can jam and scramble the armageddon the Scorp will win if he is a gankeddon (scorp can be tanked if the arma has been fitted to tank)

As most PvP doesn't revolve around 1v1 fights, I'd say pick which role you like and go from there :)
Armageddon = damage dealer, Scorpion = Electronic Warfare support ship. :)

Somehow this buggy game won't let me fit 6 Cruise Launchers on my scorp though, crap :(
You're not going to win against a geddon with that setup btw, I'm missing a warp disruptor :) Also missing an MWD, 'cause the geddon has a higher base speed than you have. (= no kill, so no win)
I still think it's pointless to discuss 1v1 PvP though :)

Noone likes a stalemate, but neither would win. The gankageddon would get away, or the scorpion would get away, unless the scorpion had jamming and scrambling gear, and was able to warp in next to the geddon. Now, if you can warp in next to a geddon, I think you'd win.

how ever much extra ecm the gedon could add so could the scorp.... and if that hap the gedon wouldnt be tanked and would go pop faster than he could realize that the scorpion is the ****

just put a load of +4 radars on the geddon, say two and maybe a +3 activated on ein med, rest dmg mods if facing scorp. Cant jam you and highly unlikely to be able to tank for long

Ive actually been in this situtation....and it was a damn close fight. I was in a geddon, had Dual Mwds (wrong setup for a fight) and my cap ran out very quickly, cos I was also having to MWD away from the scorp, he did try and jam me, but i was still shooting, he musta had a bad setup, but the damage was nearly the same, cos his missiles were hitting while i was getting my turrets lined up....If i had to say who the winner was, it woulda been him, but he was very low into hull aswell....but I ran outta cap and ranway....

fact is these days theyd prolly both run off and safespot and spend 45 mins smack talking if they even came close together.

the fact is hypothetical "who would win" stuff is teh poo. You can counter any setup with another 1 that's the joy of eve. Unless you know what ship your coming up against, its down to whatever gimped up setup uve got on today to wether you win or not. One day you might be in your geddon with full tanking flying about. And meet a scorp thats coming back from sniping ceptors with 425 rails and 8 sensor boosters.

Other day your in your ganka and you run into a scorp full of multis from his pvp the night before.
SCORP WINS

ok i'm not posting the set-up cuz it's my little secret but i have blasted away gankageddons and gankapocs and ravens and blasterthrons before (all 1v1's of course) ((( no i'm not ub3r - just found an almost unbeatable set-up - and yes it is beatable lost that scorp in that set-up atleast 3 times )))
the fact is that almost any ship can win against almost any ship - i mean think about it - a Taranis can take out a B-ship these days (course the BS has to be dumb not to carry drones and has to be set-up for mining veldspar) ... a Thorax can take out a BS a Moa can take out a BS a Rupture can take out a BS ...
it depends on what set-up you have and what you encounter - that's a fact
