Edited by: Manterror on 12/01/2010 14:36:27 News for the empire, and hulk ****pits. Try to keep this scrapheapish (goodluck).
Nothing much to report currently...
-Initiative currently hold P-2 (ex-MH station system).
-Tri and friends dropping POSes about the place.
-X-70 is populated once again.
-NC have constant POS-bashing fleets operating in PB, RFing POSes where they find em.
-Some surprisingly good fights had for all

As shown on the sovereignty map, perhaps. In terms of actual ship vs ship fighting, things are hotter than ever. This weekend as as intense as the height of the Insurgency campaign in Branch IMO, and things show no sign of cooling off that I can see (humble grunt perspective).
Bear in mind the huge grind required to take an actively contested station system. Taking 1 station every ~2 weeks is about as fast as a single force can go. If we can take C4C by the end of the month, that will be excellent progress. Things will only go any faster than that if the NC stop contesting stations.
And that's a pretty big "if", because the NC still seem plenty willing to throw numbers in to the fight, and the vast majority of their resource generating space has not been touched. I dont see that happening any time soon, nor would we wish them to.
Regardless of the eventual outcome, the last two months have been one of the best times in my EVE career, comparable to the INSRG campaign in Branch: Log in, join fleet, get fight. Awesome. Thank you to our excellent FCs, thank you to the NC.

It's definitely a lot of fun, long may it continue. (should do as the NC are becoming more aggressive now they are in the area)
The local smack is a great laugh too, only adds to the entertainment.
Good going so far from both sides, lets keep it up

Edited by: Manterror on 13/01/2010 04:41:47 im even enjoying the smacktalk...no-one is taking things personally and it keeps the fighting spirit.
I like hearing reports from the other side...sorry to say the invasion has slowed, its just an impression i got from my side. Although small roam battles have definitely increased
This is why i pay for Eve, and no matter the outcome of this campaign, thank you Tri/CO2/Init for having the balls to make this game fun, i salute you o7
Both sides keep the updates coming

I think you're pretty out of touch to call it slowed at this point. Taking stations in Dominion is a stupid long process and really defender-friendly. P-2 basically couldn't have gone any faster unless NC simply didn't defend at all (and fortunately, they didn't do that).
Sov warfare is really slow now, in many ways, even slower than before (since although you don't have to churn as many towers, each station system requires many many battles at times of the defenders choosing and a lot of long slow anchor and waits.
Anyways, interesting stuff.

large Battleship battle in ROIR, around 300v300. I missed it so cant give accurate account of battle, however looking at KB, TroCo took more losses.

I was at work, so unable to log in, but a quick chat after tells me that in a shocking turn of events (and for the first time in the entire campaign so far to my knowledge) the NC forces killed more than they lost.
How the 'axis of evil' will cope with the loss of OVER 30 battleships (!, according the NC combined kb) is yet to be seen. NC is claiming they have broken the back of the beast with this one .
So far, Init. alone has over 1100 confirmed BS kills, losing less than 300 so far in this campaign. That should shed a bit of light on how its been going up to this point.
Total numbers so far in this campaign (which, for the record started when we deployed to Syndicate for the cloud ring action and a stint with IT in mid-November) for us are: 5741 Ships killed (204.78 B) 2061 Ships lost (55.24 B)
Thats not counting the 'big ticket' isk making moons we (and our allies) now hold after taking them from the NC in pure blind and the surrounds.
I know-- we really need to pull things together otherwise this roadtrip is doomed... -

Um, that wasn't a troll. It was a numbers-based assessment of the situation up to this point (albeit from one alliance's grunt POV), if you don't like the numbers, that's your problem.
If you want a thread that is not speculation and not heresay-- it should be battle/campaign reports based of numbers.
If you want this to become some 'moderated by the OP' thread, its nothing more than yet another fan boi thread and nothing close to SHC. -

If you were to add all the 3rd letters together in the first post, they give you roughly a numerical value of "bomber down"
