What missions do you think are the toughest to complete on a scale of 1 to 10? I heard " when worlds collide" a lot, personally I don't like "angle extravaganza" or any of the "vengeance" ones.

World's Collide is actually easy, unless you get unlucky in the final room or screw something up. The bonus room of Angel Extravaganza is tough. I don't run it, but I think Enemies Abound 5 of 5 is one of the hardest level 4 missions. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

LOL Liang, I got " the blockade" last night too but with sansha (and since I'm an armarrian pilot sansha and their TD drive me crazy ). But last night I used a spare into I had to run around dropping a few cans about 150 from warp in then came back in my nightmare and pwned. I'm not sure if serpantis blockade followed the same dynamics but u should try it sometime ( can dropping) if u haven't already.

OK, toughest to me is defined as most likely yo break my tank (or primary tank). I run either with an active Golem or semi-passive Nighthawk, faction fit (CN Invul x2) [yes alt :)]. Sometimes I have a sentry Ishtar or pulse Abaddon along for some extra DPS.
Angel Extravaganza(bonus Room), Enemies Abound and Worlds Collide are the only ones that I have to fully focus on. AE is probably worst becuase the whole room aggros and focuses on one ship. It requires tank and speed (AB) to string the rats out to avoid them all getting close.
EA 5 really requires more gank. The Incoming DPS of any wave isn't that horrible but if you have to deal with 2 or 3 waves at once you are in trouble. The good news/bad news is that they are timed, not triggered. So you can kill anything, you just have to do it fast. There is also some chance waves will target different ship. I believe if you have to warp out the timer is still running, I'm not sure what would be needed to face 5 or 6 waves all at once. I'd see if it resets after DT or just fail it.
I find the second room of the Guristas/Serp WC to be the worst part of that mission. On the Serp side, it safer not to use drones, and leave the nasty spy Fg's for last. Kill the incoming DPS (BS) first then tank the Fgs while you slowly take them out, get some range and the rest is easy. On the Guristas side, its all about tanks and gank and less about finnese. I've run one other version of this mission once, don't remember which - it didn't impress me much.
Other missions that can cause dificulties are Blockade and Gone Berserk, Damsel in Distress even Rogue Drone Harassment can be bad if you don't pay attention to triggers.
I mostlry run on the Caldari/Amarr side of things with some SOE thrown in for balance, so there could be some Galentee or Minmatar missions I'm in the dark about.

I have found the potential of any mission being a problem. Screw up on a pull, mismanage drones, shoot wrong trigger and its going to be a rough day.
I say this because missions are a cake walk for me (it happens when you do them over and over). I tend to lose "concentration" when my kid says hold me or my wife says something to me. I always read the walkthrough and follow it. Things tend to be easy when I do so.
The toughest one for me is AE due to the limited time I get to play.

In previous times when Thukker Tribe was considered one of the "bad" guys, I used to find level 4 missions against DED ships the hardest nuts to crack. Though, no mission is really hard to handle with a friend unless you are going up against ships with "advanced/Sleeper" AI.
I suspect some of the ships in the end missions of the epic arcs have that, and those missions are pretty tough too.

Hardest missions are the new experimental Gallente storylines which:
a) Force you to go many jumps into low sec (yep PVE ship through PVP pirate space) b) Are FW warfare linked so take you to systems with FW pilots waiting for you to c) Take people to the same few systems (because of the FW storyline link) so those gates are player pirate camped as they wait for the missions runners to appear to give easy targets d) Are way above the agent level you are running for e.g. the level 2 storylines are harder than level 4 missions e) Give a crappy reward of an implant that is worth about 100k ISK
These experimental missions were introduced as a surprise in Dominion, with it appears little thought or understanding of the mission runner player base by the moron EVE Storyline Board in Atlanta with NO TESTING on Singularity. In the Dev Blog words they were really excited about these missions which shows what idiots some of the CCP developers and PVE content writers have become and how little they understand or care about the PVE player base.
Knowing CCP these asinine storyline forced FW PVP missions will be coming to the Cald, Amarr and Min space soon. I have a proposal for their removal in the Assembly Hall so support it now or risk being unable to grind faction standings ever again.
BTW these storylines are going to all players so you find that you have run 16 mining or courier missions to be rewarded with one of these UBER PVP combat missions as a storyline to get faction standing.
Dumb beyond belief.

This tbh, but 'stupider' is interchangeable with 'braver'.
I was doing Worlds Collide once, asked in corp chat if anyone wanted to help me. Long story short a corpmate comes in, launches drones despite my telling him not to, and then kills the spies. You can guess what happened next.

I agree with that! I'm grinding standings with an R&D corp, running courier missions in shuttles. I get a storyline which takes me 15 jumps away into lowsec.
One day I'll start running those missions, but that's after I've established my economic base and can afford to lose my cloaky ships. The PvP aspect is appealing, but not while I'm busy running missions to grind rep.
It would be nice if I could get PvP missions from FW agents without having to be in a FW corp. I'm happily ensconsed in an industrial corp at the moment, I don't want to have to be blinky red all the time in order to participate in FW PvP a couple of hours a month.

Buzzkill is the most annoying mission ever but not the hardest.
AE4 Bonus Room, WC4 and Blockade can cause problems to poorly fitted Navy Ravens.
I've never done Enemies Abound because it's faction. I'll try it on Sisi one day.
edit: Vengeance is easy unless you fitted a cap stable boat with too-low DPS. I use a highly unstable Navy Raven with a cap injector for all my level 4 combat missions.
edit: Reject buzzkill. Even with medium weapon ships like Tengu or Nighthawk the bounty/LP isn't worth it for the time expended.

The hardest mission I have solo thus far was part of the Gallente Epic Arc:
Studio 1 Showtime
...the tanks and DPS of the Elite xxx battleships was pretty impressive.
In terms of level 4's, I'd say the toughest would be AE *if* you include the bonus room. All the other missions are easy (including Worlds Collide). Removed. Please keep your EVE signature related to your EVE persona and not that of a real life politician. Navigator |

Never found a mission I couldn't fairly easy complete with a decent CNR setup, except Serp Blockade lvl 4...damps suck...mostly ran Minni and Caldari missions, never for the Amarr..
Plexes now, that's a whole different ballgame... 8/10, can tank with a Nighthawk. The Maze 10/10, now that's interesting! Wouldn't take my Golem in to that last room

Blitzing both of these lvl5 missions:
Caldari fortress ..... lots of neut batteries jamming and warp scram frigs
Amarr fortress ..... crazy powerful neut batteries and warp scram frigs
I once had 8 warp scram frigs on me in the amarr version.
I you take out the neuts before the killing the fortress its a piece of cake tho. Anyone thinking a passive tank will loose their ship, the damage is too high unless they spend all day warping in and out.

Indeed, that one can be a pain.
It is nice to collect the tags from the 20 Amarr BS wrecks though.

Blockade Sansha Nation .. there are no words to describe the frustration of the second wave tracking disrupting the hell out of you, and watching you perfect skilled drones nibble on them for half an hour.
This mission allone is the reason my alt can now field a big tank and 5 bonused drones.

I'd have to say Smash The Supplier (Minmatar mission against Amarr) is the toughest for me, even more so than the AE4 bonus room. I've attempted to do it with a Vargur but the tank can't withstand the incoming DPS without having to warp out several times. I end up running it in a Maelstrom where I can use its artillery range to negate a significant portion of the incoming DPS and avoid warping out.
When I first was given this mission, I was impressed by the challenge it posed to me, rather than the usual level 4 missions that I can easily run with a minimal amount of attention on my part.
