Hi,
I have been told that providence is an area of NRDS systems, but when I convo'd someone last night, they told me their policy was NBSI, so I wanted to know if there was a known list of the NRDS 0.0 systems? I assume it is just going to be a case of trial and podding (error) to find out but I wanted to get some clarification. Also, if I appear neutral to an alliance, what is the best thing for me to do to get into their blue list?
Thanks.

It's not because one alliance in that region is NRDS that the people you'll meet will be NRDS ....D'uh

Obviously. Why is this forum mainly populated by idiots?! My question assumes that not everyone will be NRDS, my question asks whether there is a known list of NRDS systems or alliances. It also asks the best way to make my way into someone's blue list.

You need to ask yourself why any alliance would want to make a single pilot blue? What do you have to offer them? Very little...
The best way of getting on a blue list is either to have sex with the CEO, or simply by join up. Personally I'd go for the latter of the two options.
As for NRDS, I'm not sure as I've never sought it out, NRDS sounds a bit dull to me. If I were you I'd go to NPC 0.0 and do some ninja business there, once you get the hang of it, its pretty good fun.

Providence is NRDS, plus much of lower domain and parts of Catch. Known collectively as the Deliverance Region, its the only area of space that's NRDS as far as I know.
Whoever you convo'd is lying to you.

Edited by: HerrLipp on 13/01/2010 10:37:39 Chuffer, could you explain the NPC 0.0 thing to me please? Where is NPC 0.0? I think that may be a better bet in terms of a noob venturing out into nullsec. Cheers.

NPC 0.0 is owned by NPC factions such as Angels, Blood Raiders, Sansha, etc. These regions are, off the top of my head, Curse, Stain, Outer Ring, Great Wildlands, Syndicate, parts of Fountain and Delve, and Venal? Of course most of them are full of people looking to kill you, not NRDS.
It's the same as regular 0.0 except that players can't take sov there, ergo, there are never any cyno jammers blocking cap ship entry, nor jump bridges.

Sure Providence is NRDS. If youve spoken to CVA to get NRDS status.
If your gonna come out here make sure you do that or you will be NBSI.

WTF? We are always NRDS, the only thing you need to do is to check if you, corp you are in or alliance you are in isnt red. But you dont need to talk to anyone about nrds, then it wouldnt be nrds.

Well it's interesting you say about alliance or corp coz the player I mentioned earlier that I convo'd appeared blue to me, but he told me I was neutral to him. I was under the impression that through the alliance I am in, I would appear blue to him as we are friendly to that alliance, but obviously not.

Out of curiosity, would killing pets of CVA pets in Catch get you a place in the CVA KOS list? -- 081014 : emoragequit, char transfered to a friend, 090317 : back to original owner blog |

Providence is not a safe place to fly
seriously, many gankers do their day on there and/or the route from highspace to there (more commonly from caldari space aka Jita)
in other words, CVA will defend you as they are antipirate, but nothing stops someone to pop you for the lulz. Providence is a great magnet for pirates since many, many 0.0 noobs go there to mine or try nullsec out.

I dont know the exact rules, but you may be nbsi in your own space without becoming kos in providence. Own space is then 0.0 space, not low sec. Obviously you need to be nrds in providence if you dont want to be set KOS.

It's when you kill anyone in the Deliverance region who isn't red/KOS, you will be put on a KOS list. Outside of Deliverance is none of our concern, if CVA/blues/holders are in someone else's space then they are technically aggressors and fair game.
It may not be as safe as empire, but if you get intel channel access (which is invite only) and you PAY ATTENTION its the safest 0.0 region for neutrals to use.

Only your youth can appology your ignorance, sir. Get some basic education regarding the space where you probably live.
Providence is NRDS. NRDS means "not red, do not shoot". If you have not done anything wrong then you are OK. And you do not need to ask for anything.
However, one might join corporation or aliance which is red to CVA and Holders, thus it is good to confirm that you are not red to us before you enter the Providence area. This does not mean you need to ask us for permission, you only come to our diplo channel (cva-diplo) and simply ask whether you are red or not.
The risk in our space is generally lower, because holding aliances are not hunting anything that moves. But you can meet other bad pilots who are there to hunt our peaceful habitants. __________________________________ I do it myyyy wayyyy... Milky Way. |

Honestly...
How many years is it going to take for people to realise that CVA is a pirate organisation???
Providence is where lazy people go to farm greedy people. Most of the "KOS" pirates who live there are CVA alts.
Don't believe me? Get a covops and sit in one of the ice fields for a couple of hours. Watch... and learn.

OP, please take some time to look at Hub Zero, this venture was setup for the NRDS community of eve, we live in a 0.0 system in stain, and we are expanding at a good level,
Hub Zero Thread
We have taken our lead from CVA, and are trying to do what they have done, and would welcome decent NRDS pilots like yourself to come and have a look, and see if theres anyway you can provide input.
I will look forward to hearing from you. o/

Ive been in Providence for weeks now, and in all that time I have seen only two instances of pilots who were on the KOS list, on both occasions it was near the borders with other regions, I have never seen KOS pilots in the central areas.
It really is safe IMO. |
