I realize theres a website to check and see how the kills are going but its showing old stats (from the last hulkageddon I guess)
How is everybody doing? Doing it in gangs? Solo? Finding alot of miners? Are they usually AFK? Seen any huge decrease of miners around?
I am a miner myself and I have stayed docked up for the event. I know the event ends tomorrow but I wont be out mining thanks to a war dec that has happened (lovely for a relatively new player to get bored to death...)
Hope all of you pirates are having some serious fun while the AFK miners get whopped!
Cheers!

Your staying docked up the whole time... just because empire is the same way it has always been? :S this is why 1/2 of eve hates industrialists.

Fixed your quote...
Over-generalizing Industrialists seem to be the new flavor of whine this month. I can assure you that most Indies do not behave this way. I for one ignored Hulk-event and kept on mining. As it has been mentioned before that there is no such thing as safe space and that you should treat hi-sec just like you would null sec. Keep aware of your surroundings and don't be silly to walk away from your comp.
If you think you are going to be ganked or being attacked already, don't panic.
Last thing that is my golden rule is, if you cannot afford to lose a particular ship, don't fly it. Never place all your eggs in one basket.

Just docked in Jita to sell my minerals. Business as usual.
I've seen 4 reds in cruisers doing lots of gank runs in 0.7, with a lot of chatter in local about them, but other than that nobody has bothered me.

Empire is NOT as it usually is.
I have no problem facing a gank attack or a canflipper. I won't even try facing determined multiple battleship suicide ganks - thinking hulkageddon has had no effect is delusional.
Check the killboards: over 1000 exhumers gone in less than a week is not something that happens every week.
Still, I'm not docked. I just changed my habits a bit - my safety is in my hands, mostly. And if I lose a ship... well, doh. I lost a ship. Rule #1.

We're done, doesn't mean you are safe though, some people caught the exhumer popping bug real bad
For your edification, the totals were:
1220 Exhumers (of which 751 hulks, 458 mackinaws)
332 Barges in various shapes and sizes
12 Orcas
240 capsules
And about 270 bil damage on griefwatch (which undervalues each hulk by like 40 mil :P )

It's funny that there's no in between; you're either completely ignorant of the HAG goings-on, or its a catastrophe which will surely spell the end of industrialists in new eden.
For myself, location is everything. If you operate in an unassuming area, chances are you won't get close to HAG.

At the end of the day, it either matters, or it doesn't. So far it looks like it doesn't matter at all except to the extent that it drove the price of exhumers up due to speculation.
If it starts to matter in a tangible way (causing shortages and inflation, or a drop in re-sub rates) you'll see CCP take further action to inhibit suicide ganking. ---------------- We're recruiting quality players. Check us out. |

I did great.
I listened in on thier channel, kept an eye on thier killboard and mined openly in the places far away from them.
About the most damage I took was a broken nail typing this.

LOL I hear that. I didnt hear a peep out of the people mining in the ice fields or the roid fields so I assume the Lonetrek region was not hit? or if it was it must of been quite a few systems away, nothing was reported nearby.
