Hi All,
I'm writing an app for Symbian Smart phones using a language called m-Shell. The app will quiery the api and alert the user when changes have occured to their characters' wallets as well as the usual alerts when skills have completed etc.
All is going well but I now need to get the item name from the typeID in "/char/MarketOrders.xml.aspx". Unfortunately my knowledge of sql databases is zero and I can't find a way of extracting the data I need.
Ideally someone has the time to write a step by step walk through for morons on sql or can point me at one on the intermation superduper skyway.
Either that or you let me off the hook and do me a comma seperated dump from the database.

If you looking for only the SQL query then:
SELECT typeName FROM invtypes WHERE typeID=$typeID

I too am clueless with SQL and have spent most of the day trying to get an SQL server running just so I could uncompress the dominion db.bak dump. All I want is what do the typeIDs match up with.. Main focus is minerals and ores. Is there a list out there that says... trit = 34, and so forth...?

Edited by: Arbitary on 14/01/2010 00:10:18 After some phaphing about this is what I've come up with. I had to write a script to strip it from the database. Hope it's of use to others.

If you need such lists often or simple lists of data, use the SQLite version of the database dump. Its just a single file and you don't have to install a complete database server. Google for a frontend. I used SQLite Expert Personal edition by Bogdan Ureche.
