So here is what can be assumed from all the sources available to us.
The Intakis lived a low technological lifestyle for centuries. The Gallenteans find them and quickly disturb there culture and way of life. After the mentioned Culture shock they decide if you cant beat em, Join em. The Intakis rise in importance throughout the Gallentean federation and become wealthy space traders and bussinessman.
When the caldari/Gallente war breaks out the Intakis somewhat sympathize with the caldari and attempts at uprising are made, which are swiftly dealt with and silenced by the Government. The intakis afterwards integrate more into the Federation and become more or less a second hand to the Gallenteans.
What annoys me more is that little to nothing is mentioned of the Mannar. I would like to hear a little about what there all about as well.

The Idama apears to be one of many Holy men throughout the Intaki society. This Idama apears to be a more public representative of the Intaki religions and speaks to the public as a whole about the Intaki people.
I beleive it restrengthens my beleif that the Intaki are indeed related to Hindu/Middle Eastern peoples.
Anyways, I vote this be stickied.

OK, I hope I don't offend Jalia here. Since she wasnt in the Placid Reborn Channel Ill go ahead and add this information to the list.
Here is some of Vermaja Idama's statements regarding the Intaki Rebellion during the Caldari/Gallente war.

Howevor gratefull we were that Aurora spilled out some Intaki canon, (the Intaki Roleplayers were frothing at the mouth during that speach, btw) I will still always seek more canon material regarding Intaki.
I guess I can never be satisfied.
