Hello. I'm a fairly new pod pilot and I find it intriguing that so many are preoccupied with their supposed appearance. Our portraits, after all, were taken prior to us being riddled with the implants and synaptic interfaces required by the "wet grave" technology that enables us to pilot our ships.
Being hard-wired into a ship does not make one overly photogenic, I'd imagine, although in truth I've not seen myself in over a month, so I've no real way of knowing. To this end, I would contest that beauty must come from one's soul, and shine through in our words and deeds, for we have little or no outer beauty any more. Basing this "contest" on one's portrait is a falacy.
Or is the pod pilot community really that superficial?

I'm Cis and I would like to take part to this contest. I've seen many beatiful contestors, and I would like to see how I compare to them. My hobbies are snow boarding and fitness training. I also read lot of books. I like rough male podpilots who know what they're doing.
See you all in space!

Don't hate me 'cause I'm beautiful.
Your protest is quite inspiring, despite the hypocrisy. On one hand you draw attention to the public being judged under the supposed fallacy of external beauty by our standards, and yet we're condemned as superficial for failing to adhere to your objective analysis of the soul. So just for you, my dear Lorelei, I'll make an exception:
Name: Lorelei Raen Words: judgemental, ignorant, hypocritical, opinionated Deeds: n/a Score: 50 Status: textbook example
Judge notes: We'd have given you a 71 on the Beauty test for being such a pretty girl, but... -------------------------------------------
Thank you for participating in the GLB Soul Test; We hope this will aid you on your path to spiritual illumination. (okie, I'm done teasing now. )
In all seriousness, the GLB beauty test is more than an amusing piece of entertainment for the masses, its a stunning reminder that through all the scientific and technological advancements, we're still only human. These portraits are a subtle reminder of our pre-pod days when we still lived inconspicuously amongst the masses as mortals, with friends and loves ones. It's a reminder of where we came from, and who we always will be; it's a service I relish in providing.
With outer beauty comes inner strength.
Oh, where was I? Right...
